This is an anti-aggro control variant of the JP list I've been brewing ever since
Svetya, Orene of Kosul was released.
It's trying to drop a power every turn while also keeping out the beaters, so don't be afraid to take a few hits early (especially if you have one of the primal sweepers in-hand) to sweeten the deal when you cast it. Your life total is a resource! Maximize those
Lightning Storms and
Hailstorms.
Copperhall Bailiff helps you survive longer.
Harsh Rule is your fallback plan.
For card draw, we've actually got a TON.
All the
Strategizes you could want, with full
Wisdom of the Elders too. A single
Privilege of Rank is not just for pulling power, but also as another "draw 2" of sorts. If you can grab it off a Svetya activation, even better. Then there's the real deal,
Jotun Feast-Caller, who with his new *4* health can survive all our lower-cost sweepers! It's an awesome change that has paid huge dividends.
For those opposing dudes with slightly more health, we have the usual
Auric Runehammer, which can be (and often is) paired with a damage-sweeper to hit the right mark.
Vanquish and
Eilyn's Choice serve as protection against more powerful units.
Other weapons I've considered but eventually steered away from:
Duelist's Blade and
Sword of the Sky King.
Eventually they just felt like win-more, especially since all this deck really wants to do is stall (while beating with 4-power dudes) until
Eilyn, Clan Mother can come clean everything up. She's an absolute handful, as most mothers can be ;)
I know, you're wondering where the
Valkyrie Enforcers are, but sometimes we have to cut our darlings to improve the deck. I went with Bailiff in that slot. Feel free to go the other way with it, but I stand by this choice for any aggro-heavy meta.
Another way to get Eilyn aegis if you're interested (that I've been toying with) is Daraka, Queensguard. It's a big body, but solid.
