I don't know how to even explain this deck other than, just,
West-Wind Herald. I'm super proud if this deck so let me know what you think!
••• I'm Aegis. My favorite part of Eternal is pushing deck limits and creative deck building. I tend to focus on 150 card decks, most of which are 5 faction, just because it's fun. I don't play ranked often and mainly test my decks in Gauntlet masters but I always try to build as competitively as possible.•••
So I was thinking about infiltrate and how infiltrate effects trigger when the unit does damage, via any form, to the enemy player. I immediatly thought about how strong
West-Wind Heralds effect was and how I could utilize it.
Iceberg Scattershot is a card referred to when wanting to cheese out infiltrate effects so my next thought: "what is the spell I can break the most"?
Mirror Image. It does in fact
chain trigger the Herald's effect until you have a full board and have dealt 11 damage to your opponent. Then you can use the last Herald to use whatever other spell you want.
* Side note - Herald will trigger the spark off
Swindle from the grave to draw 3
I wanted to run
Rise to the Challenge to make the combo consistant so I squeezed in some more Justice units for some control.
So namely the Scattershot's main focus is to be broken with Herald. But creating a deck that revolves around cheating out infiltrate effects just makes the deck so much stronger. Cards like
Crimson Firemaw and
Waystone Titan do in fact trigger off of Scattershot. With
Gorgon Fanatic and
Desperado as more fuel and control, this deck is really something.
With the combo pulled off, you probably win the game with a board of 2/2 flying, aegis Heralds after dealing 11 damage. But say you can't quite assemble it or just need some other finisher, thats what
Heart of the Vault and
Azindel, Revealed are for. Azindel plus Scattershot is just another combo thats way too strong. Say you do the combo
after you play Azindel: deal 9 damage, summon a 4/1, 8 2/2s and draw 9 cards from your opponents deck.
