This list is based on camat0s hatebear list, but takes a completely different approach to top out the curve. First, it ditches the
Predatory Carnosaur, as that is far too low impact for what the deck is trying to do, which is go much further beyond what the opponent is doing and try to outgrind the opponent by getting every possible advantage. Second, it abandons the notion that the deck should not have double influence requirements by putting in
Cirso, the Great Glutton and
Sword of Unity, both of which are fantastic cards. This is where the name comes from, you need to believe in the heart of the cards so you can drop both of these TTXX influence cards on curve. It also does not run
Praxis Displacer, which I think is one of the most overrated cards in the entire game.
Because this is a time deck, the basic gameplan is simple. Play
Initiate of the Sands,
Teacher of Humility, and
Sandstorm Titan. However, the two drop slot is where the deck really shines. It runs both
Awakened Student and
Kothon, the Far-Watcher. It also runs
Xenan Initiation for removal. When the board is established, the goal is to prevent is from being wiped by using
Stand Together,
Sword of Unity and the iconic duo of
Svetya, Orene of Kosul and
Mirror Image.
Knight-Chancellor Siraf is the three drop in this deck, but I don't know if it's better than
Auric Record Keeper.
The deck runs the primal market with
Jennev Merchant, but I am wholly convinced it is the right call. Due to the fact that most cards in this deck do not grow,
Crystallize is amazing. Furthermore, having Svetya and
Mirror Image in the market add so much more consistency to the plan of locking the opponent out of the game.
Permafrost is removal and
Hooru Banner is fixing. I chose to go with the hooru power, since the power in the main deck is heavily skewed towards time in order to play t2 teacher.
