Information

Whilst stumbling around, trying to find a proper home for Genetor Dovid I, I found myself with the makings of a surprisingly potent Hooru aggro deck. It plays out with a bevy of cheap, effective beaters that will pummel an opponent with impressive stats for their cost.

Our 12 1-drops include:
- District Infantry, who's a 1-cost 3/3 for the early turns of the game, which is huge
- Embargo Officer, who makes life painful for anybody playing Arcanum Hourglass or any other void recursion, along with blocking out market access (even if a blazing salvo/sabotage kills her, the opponent still can't market with the same spell)
- Daru Lee, who is able to piggyback off of the other 1-drops when they can't attack into the board to become a 5/4! Very large, though it's incredibly rare for her amplify effect to function. Playing Daru t1 into 1-drop and triggering her active ability is a great t1/2 play that's very achievable

Our 12 2-drops include:
- Genetor Dovid I, who has insane stats for a 2-drop AND mostly draws a card upon being played, with a drawback that only becomes relevant 2 attacks after he dies, he's part of the reason this deck works at all.
- Maveloft Huntress is great as interaction and/or a threat, she can imbue a Daru Lee or a District infantry to retain stats on the board, along with plundering away excess power - all around powerhouse
- Svetya's Faithful is a card that's stuck outside the limelight because his potential to be a 2 mana 3/3 with warp is hindered by the onslaught clause. The fact that we have so many 1-drops makes me feel like this is a great home, and being a soldier is pretty important, too.

Other units include:
- Rime Conclave Smuggler who nine times out of ten will fetch either Bring to Justice or Backlash depending on what you're worried about, is a great card to be playing for market access. Don't hold Embargo Officer in hand because you want to market on t3 unless you have a really good sequence for t1/2, because slamming down Smuggler as an Aegis body doesn't feel too bad most of the time. Deciding when to play each card is going to be one of the big challenges when playing the deck - I won't say I've solved it yet.
- Slope Sergeant is able to bond into the battlefield for fairly cheap; one time I had curved t2 Dovid into t3 Huntress+Sergent, all whilst reserving power for interaction. Not typically quite that busted, but he's here and can do a lot of work filtering your hand later on and being beefy.
- Jotun Hurler provides snowballs for interaction and discard fodder for marktes and slope sergent. Simple stuff

Interaction Suite:
- Argo's Technique is most commonly used as either a counterspell to protect your units, or with the +2/+2 and lifesteal mode. Against control be sure to have one ready for their incoming sweeper, be it hailstorm or harsh rule, against anyone else don't feel bad countering any kind of removal spell, you'll almost always end up mana-positive which is amazing. The combat trick side is very impressive against aggro, and can of course help units survive combat
- Bubble Shield is here, whilst we're not a Kira deck we still like to keep our stuff protected, especially Dovid.
- Permafrost combines with huntress to form our maindeck proactive removal set; 1-cost make a unit mostly irrelevant is super important for any agressive Primal deck to do

I'd like to note that I'm not currently running either of the emblems for decimate units. Personally, I feel like it's too important to have the flexibility in picking influence so that you can hit PP for maveloft as well as JJJ for Bring to Justice that I don't feel comfortable putting them in the deck. If you were to test them, probably in place of vows?

Overall, hope you have some great fun playing with what could be a very impressive aggro deck! Who knows where this concept might lead?
