Talir Combo is back baby.
After I struggeled finding a deck i felt comfortable with for the ECQ and just played winchest grenadins (Dropped after 9-9), I was looking for a new thing to play and came across this list by Almost and decided to give Talir Combo a spin.
The deck feels extremely well rounded and i only made some minor changes so all credit belongs to Almost.
After playing a lot with the deck i feel comfortable posting this small guide thoug.
Your main Line is propably Merchant into eternity core. the deck really shines as soon as it hits 6 mana and you usally should have enought merchants 8+4 Last Chance
to activate the combo later.
Your worst MU by far are Rakano Aggro and Haunted Highway. Skycragg Aggro can be stopped by an early Sandstorm Titan
as the almost have no way of removing him. The most important thing is that you are not a combo deck in this MU you wanna dump creatures on the battlefield and protect your life total as much as possible. SST, Ravid and Azindel can close down these games.
Against Reanimator and Midrange you can force the combo as soon as possible and usually should be fast.
Be aware that Annihilate
can stop the combo and that you can hide your last chances in your market when you fear a Regent's Tomb
If your opponent gained a bunch of life it s sometimes smarter to sack your vodkhan early to not mill your whole library and grab a stand together from the market to protect your board from removal.
