If you've just started the game. Immediately dust all your rares. Then craft 4x Even-handed Golems. It's the best rare in Eternal.
It's a better card than many legendaries.
This deck only has the Even Golem as a rare. All other cards in this deck are craftable commons or uncommons. You can probably craft this deck in the first two days of play. Without spending a penny. This deck can beat master Gauntlet at times. It also consistently gets me around 5 or 6 wins straight against the AI.
Alright now onto the card list.
-Card draw cards. These cards provide you card advantage against your opponent. As well as your play consistency.
Even Handed Golem, Cull the deck, and Devour are the cards to craft. Cull the deck, is probably the card you should be most careful with. If you can understand where you are in the match. You can make an astounding comeback with this card. I've done it many times.
-Kill unit cards. These kill your oppents units. Two of them have conditions. One kills the unit no questions asked.
Annihilate is a fast spell that can kill any unit with one influence requirement. Xenan initiation is a spell that give one of your units. The battle skill killer. That unit can target any enemy unit to combat. The catch is the unit has to be powerful enough to kill the other unit. Or it dies and goes to the void area. Deathstrike is a fast spell that kills a unit.
-Units that are for combat and expendable. These units have the battle skill deadly. Any unit they damage dies. A Blistering Wasp can trade equally against a legendary Rakano Icaria. These units are cheap, in every sense of the term.
Kerenden Steward, Sand Viper, and Blistering Wasp are you main combat units. These deadly units combined with the spell Xenan Initiation allow you to kill 99% of your opponents units.
-Void Recursion units. These units when certain conditions are met. Allow you to draw from your void area.
With Lumen Attendant, you pay 3 power and discard a card from your hand to draw any card from your void. A very powerful tool when used properly.
With Umbren Voidbringer when any of your units battles. After the battle is resolved. When you cast it. You can draw a unit from your void to your hand, if it isn't voidbound.
-Win Condition/Card draw. This is the highest power cost unit in the deck. After you've been slugging it out with your opponent. This guy should put the final pressure on your opponent to win.
Direwood Prowler. It costs 6 power with 2 shadow influence. It's a 5/5 and when summoned allows you to sacrifice a unit to draw 2 cards. You'll most likely play this unit around turn 7 or 8 at the earliest. You'll want your opponent to use up all their cards in hand. Before you summon this guy.
-Power base, this is how you pay for all the neat cards in the deck 😉. When I build a deck. On average I use 27 power. The introduction of Standards allow you to split the difference between power and spell cards. In general whichever faction is the majority in my deck. I'll include 4x of it's Standard. Except for Primal. In my opinion that Standard card is pure garbage.
Power card list.
After you craft the 4x golems. Craft 4x Diplomatic seals. In most of your matches. Your influence requirements should be met by the third turn. These Power cards help you achieve that greatly. It's also uncommon so 4x only costs 400 shiftstone. That's just 2 packs if you dust the rares too.
In my opinion. For your first 2 weeks of playing. Dust 90% of the rares and legendaries you open in packs. Most rare and legendary cards. Have less powerful cousins, that have a similar effect though are less efficient. But, those effects still exist which you can exploit by having more of those less efficient cards. At much lower shiftstone cost.
The last tip about the power base. Is to have only 2 basic power cards of your minor faction in the deck. Then fill out the rest with the basic sigils of your majority faction.
Good luck and Godspeed to any newcomers to Eternal. This game is very rewarding. Don't be too frustrated by being mercilessly stomped by players who have a larger collection. It's how you learn to craft sneaky cheap ass decks like this one. 😝
Whats the best upgrade for this deck? Im a new player btw, started playing 3 months ago.
For upgrades, I suggest Memory Dredger. It can replace Lumen Attendant. It's also the same power cost. It can bring back a 2 cost or lower every time it hits the opponent.
For the wincon unit. Azindel Revealed is the best Xenan Unit. He can replace the Direbeast Prowler. Desecrate can replace Annihilate and Deathstrike. Vara's Choice can neuter units with annoying text.
Those are the best replacements I can think of off the top of my head. I haven't played much since DWD broke the game on Android platforms.
I'll probably submit more decks with FoX cards. Once I get a better handle on the sets cards.
thanks btw, i will upgrade my deck base on your suggested cards.
