Information

This deck is a fairly simple evolution to my previous (Elysian Evolved) list. I just took that concept and went much, much farther.

Essentially, this deck is all about getting value from Killer. Look at the list of dudes:
Dawnwalker - attacks and gets reborn thanks to a lot of our guys having 5+ attack
Cirso, the Great Glutton - neutralizes their big threat by turning it into a pig, then slamming through with Overwhelm
Jotun Feast-Caller - draw all the cards
Worldbearer Behemoth - play lands (sometimes un-depleted)
even Sandstorm Titan - can crush a lot of dudes and be readied thanks to natural Endurance

When those cards don't have Killer, they're still good. That was kind of the point here. Survive to 5 or 6, then crush with Overwhelm or Flying -- especially if Accelerated Evolution has anything to say about it.

Lightning Storm and Lunar Magus are there to slow down aggro decks, with the latter especially useful since Twilight Hunt also brings on Night.
Archive Curator is another answer to all the flying dudes we see, especially in Argenport. You'll want to save it for their Unseen Commandos most likely. Polymorph fills that role too.

I went with Wisdom of the Elders over Strategize because we want all the cards, and bottoming one can sometimes really cost us even if it is one power less.

Overall, fun deck. It does rely pretty heavily on Killer, but that's why we have so much redundancy. Have fun playing with the counts, as perhaps 4 Evolutions is too many... but it's still a blast!

After a good few games against aggro and argenport, I had to swap lunar magnus for temple scribe. The nightfall mechanic hinders more than it helps, especially against the before mentioned matchups which are what i'm up against most.
DocTam Edited Eternal Version: 1.27
Given all the killer, have you considered Mirror Image? Its a bit win more, but you can get pretty heavy value out of it if any of your killer cards stick.
bearsman6 Eternal Version: 1.27
I love the idea, but the problem is that it's another set of spells in an already spell-heavy deck... that isn't running much removal (other than Killers). It is a problem of win-more, as you admit. I'm not sure what you'd cut for it. I guess the weakest cards in the list are currently the Accelerated Evolutions, so maybe there? But it provides additional evasion and/or unstuns with Endurance.
Give it a shot and let me know.
Kidsoldja Eternal Version: 1.27
Have you tried devoted theurge instead of lunar magus. He just seems much better.
bearsman6 Edited Eternal Version: 1.27
It's a definite consideration. The downside is that Theurge comes down a turn later. This deck doesn't have a problem on Turn4+, it's surviving that long, especially against aggro, that is the challenge.

Still, if the meta around you isn't super saturated with low-to-the-ground aggro, I could totally see that being a great substitution. Theurge also having the ability to grow is a huge perk... as is its guaranteed 4 health (it's a Summon vs. a "start of your turn").
IF you're making that change, it also might be interesting to see if swapping out the Accelerated Evolutions for Ageless Mentor might work out. It does something pro-active instead of reactive, and it's another low-curve body... which this deck would then need.
Kidsoldja Eternal Version: 1.27
The thing is with lunar magus you gain 3 life not 4 and you gain it the same turn you would have played theurge anyway providing you dont miss power on curve.
bearsman6 Eternal Version: 1.27
It is 4 though: Lunar Magus. But you're right, the timing is exactly the same. The difference might be that 2/4 body a turn earlier, which brick walls a lot of Fire aggro dudes--looking at all those the 2/1s and 2/2s.
To be fair though, I am trying those switches right now. +4 Devoted Theurge, -4 Lunar Magus, +4 Ageless Mentor, -4 Accelerated Evolution. It's not bad, just different. Very fun. Also, in this version, I think it would be worth it to add the 4th copy of Twilight Hunt because the units are all SO big.
Ez3kie1 Eternal Version: 1.27
Really tempted to craft the Jotun Feast-Callers for this! Have you tried False Prince in the place of the Lunar Magus? Not sure I'll use them much and I'm trying to be economical with my shiftstone.
bearsman6 Eternal Version: 1.27
I actually started with False Prince in that slot! The problem was that it eats ALL the removal, AND you can't hit it with your own spells -- so it's completely worthless for Accelerated Evolution, Twilight Hunt, AND Xenan Initiation. Considering that's a lot of the deck, it's kind of a big turn-off.

Also, don't undervalue the hidden cantrip (and potential +4 health) of Lunar Magus. He's a great 3-drop in his own right.
LCairnes Edited Eternal Version: 1.28
I kinda see Lunar Magus like a monofaction version of Combrei Healer with cantrip.
Ez3kie1 Eternal Version: 1.27
Ah yea I can see how he's bad in this deck now...with all the killer spells he's just going to be awkward in most cases! Might give it a whirl :-)
