Deck I used to climb to masters in the first 4 days this season :)
I'll try to put up a detailed write-up sometime later.
For a while I was running the usual Rakano decks. I tried super aggro, mid, and rampy valk stuff. All of them felt so clunky and hit or miss.
After adding some unique cards to the usual Rakano Warcry, the deck feels much more consistent and streamlined. This list really made and climb quick and easy for me.
There are heavy modifications I'm considering currently, so any input is always appreciated!
Cards I'm considering removing
Rise to the Challenge (Mainboard) - It's a fairly dead spell early on in the games. You can pull off some flashy moves by grabbing
Warhelm. Generally used to grab Warhelm,
Ixtun Merchant,
Sword of Icaria, or
Whirling Duo - for the obvious utility and lifesteal. But, most of this can be done from the market.
Shogun's Scepter - I love this card. But the stats it provides are weak. I am going to experiment with more synergy of warcrys, endurance, or some lifesteal. Possibly another 3-cost Relic Weapon as well.
Vanquisher's Blade - Please don't hate me for it, but I do not like this card. I already trimmed it from 3 to 2, to 1. And it STILL feels like a dead card in my hand almost always. I was able to successfully use it as a vanquisher sometimes. I think it's likely a must-have card unfortunately. The void lock-down is pretty helpful against Feln and Highway decks, but both of those decks run an extreme amount of removal.
Oni Ronin - I think I would just trim these down to 3. They are still a great opener.
Obliterate - I really tried to utilize this as a market card. The games usually just don't last long enough to make it work though. I have never once won a game using it. We usually cap at around 5 mana, so spending 1.5 turns to play it is pretty bad (play Merchant, grab Obliterate, end turn. Play Obliterate? end turn).
Deepforged Plate - Mainly for the 5-mana reason stated above. It requires a heavy sink in time & mana and is somewhat predictable in Rakano decks. Players will kill the units you play it on,
Sabotage it,
Devastating Setback it, etc. I would likely replace it with
Shugo Standard/
Shugo Tactic,
Trick Shot, or
Longbarrel idk.
