Hello.
If you've played against me, you know I prefer the beatdown. I've almost made masters solely with my double-damage combo stonescar deck. Check it out here --->
Double Dmg Combo I'd much rather go under greedy decks than try to play one. But when the format is tilted heavily towards aggressive curveout decks, filled with sweet cards like
Quick Study and
Steelfang Glaive, I tend to shift to something like this. Straight up control is too boring/passive for my taste and doesn't seem to be much of a thing in this format anyway. Mid-range and aggro appear to be dominating the meta, which creates some pretty exciting games, to be honest. I like it, anyway.
Crackling Bauble is one of my favorite cards in Eternal. It packs everything I want in my games into one card: Passive effect, card draw, and damage. It's perfectly costed at 7pp and the RNG makes the card exciting every turn. 10/10
I'm in the camp that
Riftfeeder Wasp is way too powerful and 100 percent needs a nerf. It honestly hurts me a little to play it. I feel like I'm one of the bad guys. That's a personal problem and one I'm talking to my therapist about. Just kidding. I don't talk to anyone about my problems.
That said, the all star of this deck is
Rain of Frogs out of the market against time decks. There are few feelings better than turning an opposing Riftfeeder Wasp into a cute little frog. The current market is obviously flexible and honestly, I'm not great at making them. I always forget about certain cards and/or I never have the one I really want in the market when I need it. Oh well.
Rite of Purification has performed pretty well and has baby
Exploit vibes. Great at sniping problematic cards. Also great at un-screwing your opponent! Everybody wins!
Depending on what you're seeing on ladder, you could remove
Olos, Elder Ranger for more AOE or cheap spot removal. It's in right now as a quick ramp payoff to get the juices flowing.
Enormus Anura is a super solid and flexible card to set up protection of Bauble, kill opposing units or pop their aegis, and provides a nice defensive body, especially when paired with
Nomnom & Sashenka, both of which work wonderfully with
Light the Beacon.
There's certainly an argument to be made for more power in the deck, but so far it's been working out alright. Getting to 3 power is often enough to chain together plays that can get you to
Hexamancer, after which play becomes much easier. If you have any suggestions for power-base, please let me know!
That's all I have to say. Thanks for reading and good luck in your games.
