i'll preface this by saying i haven't actually played the deck. i'm missing most of the merchants in these colors but that brings me to my question for you: why mess around with so many market cards when you could just play better cards that win the game? i feel like the 8 smugglers could easily be far better units. stuff like Genetrix Irel IV would double as ramp and kill pressure or Knight-Chancellor Siraf to dump all your power or even something old-school like The Great Parliament or Champion of Wisdom, Genetor Dovid I also seems pretty strong and very on theme.
maybe i'll make a version of this deck that runs some of the cards i suggested in place of the merchants i don't have to see if it works better. some food for thought, i guess...

Those, and many other cards, aren't in the deck because it's a theme deck designed to guarantee you get Omniscience into play at the start of every game. The merchants serve a second purpose by drawing the cards added to the market with Vicious Overgrowth. If you take out the merchants it will be a rather different deck. The play order for this deck is to build power and TJPPPP influence at the start of the game, and simultaneously pull Omni and Deep Freeze from market. Once you have those two cards you lock down the board with Deep Freeze, recharge your hand with Omni, and start taking over the game by a combination of going wide / amplifying your cards / exchanging the ramp cards for new market cards generated by Vicious Overgrowth.

Champion of Wisdom is not a good card since this deck typically won't go reach TTTT influence, and in general we don't really want high base cost cards since Omniscience provides the most benefit when we can play lots of cheap cards to maximize the card draw it provides. We can spam small cards and build up a power base until comfortable with investing power into Builder's Decree or Hifos.
