This is what I did with my shiftstone instead of crafting 4 Eldings. I'm pretty happy with everything in the deck right now apart from the Relentless Pursuit in the market because while it seems good I've never needed it. Grenadin Drone into Prowling Amaruq feels really powerful and of course D'Angolo Houndmaster is a house in this deck. Don't be afraid to attack all out to push damage, your goal is to kill them, not generate infinite 4/4s.
P.S. DWD please rename the "2 units attack" mechanic to Tandem already. We all know you want to.

is the 4 cost 4/4 bear rider considered too expensive for the curve? I'm really impressed with the card in tempo decks in general, she seems really really good here.

It's definitely a consideration; my worry would be that the deck really benefits from being functional at 3 power FFP influence (so running Broken Contract hurts less) but 2× instead of the nerfed Crafty could be correct.
