Reached Masters rank this month with this tuned Rakano warcry list. This isn't your everyday Rakano aggro list because it drops all the one cost units like
Oni Ronin and
Pyroknight, but is very explosive and packs a serious punch. The explosiveness of the list makes it great against all those Xo/Peaks/Pile decks that have slow starts or rely on a single fat blocker to stall the game, but the serious amount of lifegain gives the edge over other aggressive decks.
Card explainations:
Finest Hour - can be used offensively or defensively, depending on the matchup
Torch - nothing to see here, never leave house without a full set
Warhelm - enables crazy plays on turn three with Hojan or Sharpshooter, or sets up your lategame with Navani
Champion of Glory - very efficient in both aggro and control matchups, dodges Peaks removal thanks to quickdraw
Highland Sharpshooter - efficient stats for two power, but becomes absurd in combination with Warhelm
Hojan, Crownbreaker - everyone's favorite paladin
Ornate Katana - very important card because it triggers renown and replaces itself
Vanquish - very important to get rid of midrange units like
Vara, Vengeance-Seeker or
Sandstorm Titan
Kemmo, Ijin's Apprentice - this is a flex spot, you can run two
Vanquisher's Blade in his place
Red Canyon Smuggler - best merchant in the game because she has the ability to win games on her own
Unseen Commando - synergy with almost everything in the deck and serves as an aerial threat
Whirling Duo - Rakano staple
Navani, Warsinger - this is the card that makes the deck so good. She gives the deck insane late-game potential and the ability to push that extra 1 or 2 damage needed to seal the deal. Because of the threat density at 2 and 3 power, your opponent will most of the time run out of removal to answer Navani, but the best way to play her is to hold back a Warhelm to give everything an instant boost while beating for five. I tried various 4 drops in this spot like
Sheriff Marley and
Eaton, Seditious Noble, but Navani pushed the deck to a higher level.
Market explanations:
Bore - red market staple
Avigraft - the nerf hurt it bad, but it's still a viable removal choice to grab when you're ahead and are expecting something like
Vara, Vengeance-Seeker or
Tavrod, Auric Broker
Jawbone Greatsword - great choice against removal heavy decks that don't run
Torch, and can be grabbed when you expect
Jotun Feast-Caller or
Champion of Cunning
Deepforged Plate - if you're at 5 power, grab this card because it will probably win you the game if your opponent doesn't immediately answer the Smuggler.
Rizahn, Greatbow Master - he doesn't come out very often because Plate and Greatsword are better at closing out games, but is very useful for taking out sites and aggro units. Sadly after the nerf you can't count on his lifesteal, but he's still a very solid unit.
I need 6 legy, so i'm a little skeptical
