Information

Affliction - Picks off early aggro units, shrinks units that brick wall your offensive, and it's a curse so it pumps up Miris and Skywalk Enforcer.

Permafrost - Cheap, powerful early removal to keep your tempo up or removal for nearly anything that isn't Titan or Tavrod. It's also a curse so it pumps up Skywalk Enforcer and turns on Miris.

Vara's Intervention - Very flexible with all three modes. Early game this makes Oni's cry and late in the game it brings back your best dead threat. Rarely used for the unblockable aspect, but it's nice to have in a pinch as reach.

Argenport Instigator - The only non-unseen in the deck. The stats are too good to pass up on, and at worst it eats opposing torches like a champ. Good for stalling aggro out and for putting pressure on slower decks. The chip damage can add up to when coupled with Nightfall pings.

Darkbolt - This card is powerful albeit a bit clunky. 5 damage deals with a lot of threats, and Nightfall is relatively easy to turn on in this deck, but when it's daytime it is abysmal. The slow speed hurts, but the damage for the cost is too great to exclude it. Don't be afraid to use it for 1 damage if you find a good spot for it.

Darkveil Agent - Gets the Nightfall train rolling, gets Aegis the following turn if not immediately dealt with, and God forbid this give your whole team Aegis down the road. This unit is a removal magnet, and for good reason.

Miris Nightshade - This is a great little early beater, especially if you follow it up with a cheap curse like Affliction or Permafrost. Her real all-star talent lies in being able to power out Zelia on turn 3 if she goes unanswered. She also provides a great source of late game Nightfall/reach with her Ultimate curse Nictophobia. Not only does the curse pump Miris and Skywalk Enforcer, but the 2 damage can add up REAL quick if the pressure is on. Don't overvalue her though, in the end she's still just a 2 drop.

Winter's Grasp - Permafrost 5-8, with the caveat of adding a Nightfall trigger. This can be great for stopping a roadblock while giving you more velocity to find more Nightfall to keep this curse active. This triggers Miris and Skywalk Enforcer. This will occasionally power down for a turn or two so keep in mind how likely you are to be able to perpetuate the night before you curse something with this.

Duskcaller - I initially was against this in the deck because of the mediocre overall package, but I do think this belongs in the deck. Keeping the Nightfall triggers flowing can be important, but her other main strength is powering out Zelia on turn 4. Having 3 attack means that it can beat down decently well at least, and it still can pick up Aegis from Darkveil Agent.

Skywalk Enforcer - This card is WAY better than it looks. This deck has curses flying all over the place so it can explode out of nowhere. The flying is great for evasion as well as blocking, and the 4 toughness is a great stonewall for aggro often forcing a 2-1 to get rid of it early. Unlike Miris that needs a curse to be present on the battlefield, Skywalk Enforcer only cares if you cast the curse while it's out. That is much bigger than it seems at first glance.

Deadly Confrontation - Deathstrike's slower cousin, but the ability to take out their two (rarely 3) best units, even at extra cost and exhaustion is just bananas. This card is slow speed though and at 4-6 power, you need to stick to 2-3 copies so it doesn't glut up your hand, as they can start to have diminishing returns. This card and Zelia are why it is so important to keep the Unseen density in the deck.

Rindra, the Duskblade - Nightfall trigger is great for allowing you to block with lifesteal the turn it comes down. If not answered, Rindra is a wrecking ball and can pull you back from the brink single-handedly. Also the 5 power if you're not planning to block with it the turn it's played, will usually let you play a bonded Zelia in the same turn since it will only cost 1. This can create some explosive mid-late game turns. Don't be afraid to trade Rindra off though if need be, in the end he's just a big beat stick.

Lida, Most Skilled - I would add more of her if I could justify the heavier top end, because the Killer can be backbreaking. Great for taking out pesky Aegis units like Vadius or for shooting flyers out of the sky. 5 power is expensive in this deck, and the 4 strength doesn't take out everything so it's good to not cram too many in the deck.

Zelia, the Vain - This card is just phenomenal. It can come out as early as turn 3 off of Miris. She is the reason why it is so important to run as many Unseen as possible, to make sure she can get out in a timely manner. 4 power to activate her repeatable ability is very reasonable. The curses synergize with Miris and Skywalk Enforcer, and are great for obsoleting small units, and making larger ones more manageable. While she is handing out curses, she grows into a monster real quick. Worst case scenario she can just 1-1 with a brick like Tavrod or Titan since she also has Deadly. Just an all-around all-star.

Amethyst Waystone - Gotta keep that Nightfall going as much as possible. These keep your Winter's Grasps online, help Rindra shred, provide your team with Aegis from Darkveil Agent, and just draw into more gas. Be aware of your influence with these, as most of the time you will want to turn Diplo Seals and Common Causes into shadow unless you have a double primal card in hand already. (Rindra or Lida).
