I will not discuss the power base except to admit I have no idea what I am doing and just threw something together.
Inspired by the various FTJ armory builds such as the one by TheDRG. The goal is to blank all opposing removal and recur increasingly large relic weapons.
Good matchups are anything with lots of removal and/or without many high-health units. Bad matchups are anything that either spams 1/1s or 6/6s.
The ShiftstonedEternal Power Calculator is a deck-building tool that visualizes your odds of drawing enough Influence and Power based specifically on the cards found in your deck.
Personally I run 3 Sword of Icaria and 1 Find the Way and am currently split between Whetstone 2x and Purify 2x (getting Runehammers to 5 attack with 6 instead of 4 of your cards is a nice bump). I am still testing things out, but I would agree with others who say drop the Reforge. I also run 4 CrestImp, 4 CrestVeang, and 4 Seat of Glory, along with 1 Time, 4 Emerald Waystone, 4 Fire, and 4 Justice-- the extra 4 crests are much better than worrying about hitting Time Influence for only Disjunction.
I do not feel comfortable with just one Icaria, I would play with 2 and one more Musket, this card is very good in my opinion, I would cut 1 wanted poster and 1 reforge to make these changes.
This may be the future of armory but I'm just not ready to give up on Tavrod armory yet lol. This is an interesting deck though, I'm gonna give it a try. I'm wondering of maybe there's a place for Armorsmith for the extra armor to pump molten fist? Hard to see a place for it though. Also, how does Molten fist work exactly? Does it's strength change as your armor changes in real time after you play it? Or does it's strength remain what it was when it first came into play?
It changes in real time. If you played it with 0 armor plus + 6 armor from Molten Fist you'll have +6 strength. If you lose 3 armor and the weapon is with 3 armor, it will have 3 strength.
That makes sense. It makes me want to add more cards to give myself armor then just throne warden though. Like armorsmith /and or rolant's choice to have a decent chance of repeatedly buffing the fist after playing it.
It is equivalent to Artisan without a body most of the time. I might consider it instead of, not in addition to, Artisan, to eliminate bad warcry hits, but the 2/1 and armor buff has been relevant enough of the time to justify the +1 cost.
Reforge is an easy cut, just plain outclassed by disjunction. Would switch for a second musket into mostly aggro, or second icaria otherwise. If you see much midrange, sword of the sky king does work. And this deck will want some form of power draw to go with the seeks. I added a rolants favor and am considering a second.
