Some games I don't get the relic fast enough so i'm holding socrato and/or shadowlands guide in hand until they have a use
That seems like the whole reason for those cards - but in the games where you don't draw the relic and your market that grabs primal is late you kind of just lose
My sample size isn't large enough but I feel inconsistent, maybe my mulligans aren't aggressive enough. What hands do you recommend really looking for to keep at the start?
You basically want access to Tome. It doesn't need to be super quick, but you're usually looking for tome or a market card (brokering Swindler is perfectly fine). Other than that just making sure you have enough power. Three lands, two drop, and stuff is usually fine, both the two drops are pretty good speed bumps.
