Information

This is a Divining Rod deck that uses the Pledge keyword to get advantage. Hailstorm is the flex spot in the deck and you can make those into whatever removal you'd like, I just put them in there because I was running into a lot of aggro decks and it helped the match-up considerably. Your big Rod payoffs in this deck are Eilyn, Apex Predator, and Aniyah. Your best target to put Rod on is Imperial Loyalist. Often times Loyalist will pull another merchant for another rod or for the Sword of Unity but you can also pull cost reduced cards from the deck like a cheaper Eilyn if you have multiple glasshoppers in play.

You may be wondering, why the Kosul Recruit? I had Serene Meditant in there before and was not a huge fan of his cost, Reyna has a similar issue of costing too much, I ended up settling on Recruit because it helps the aggro matchup once again.

I had about a 60% win-rate up to masters with the deck. Enjoy!

I love Rods decks, but deslike this unit numbers, 37 units is so mutch IMO. I cut 4 recruit and 2 daggers, into places 2 harsh rule, 2 answer for call and 2 new spells if draw 4 cards and discard 1, from new campagn.

It's a rod deck so 28 is bare minimum for your rod keyword. For this deck that's 28 pledge units. I could see trimming either glasshopper or bayonet if you wanted to make that swap, but I wouldn't go lower on pledge units.

This deck seems to struggle against control. It doesn’t help that I have been having terrible draws either. I’ve lost several games because I was 1 sigil short and kept drawing higher cost cards.

Tried this out a bit this evening. I pulled off 4 casts of Rod. My results?
First: one Kosul Recruit
Second: whiffed
Third: one Silverwing Courier (but game was over)
Fourth: whiffed

I vote we change we change the card's name to Gambling Rod. XD

I played against this deck yesterday and they got 4 units off their Rod, including an Eilyn ;___;
