This is my expedition deck for the month of June 2020 following the release of Shadows of the spire. Back when curses was a popular deck back in December of last year, I never really had much of an interest in playing around with them, but with mother of skies, this deck has piqued my interest and I feel it's an outright better version of curses than the curse deck, and also better than the majority of other mother of skies decks floating around in the queue right now.
This deck aims to control your opponent with a myriad of multifaction fliers and curses, and usually fares well against most aggro decks and mono shadow/shadow-focused lists.
Mother of skies isn't needed to go wide and win, bit it definitely helps. Majestic skies benefit all of our units, and with restrained action out, mother has the potential to flood our side of the board fast. Majestic skies also has the benefit of being able to tutor out any unit in our deck, which most often will be archgryffin patriarch, since it's both a big scary flyer and will draw us a ton of cards when it enters.
We also have Shen-Ra speaks, which at first seems counterproductive to our go wide strategy, but can be a death sentence for our opponent while restrained action and kodosh sees all are in play.
Electrostatic distortion is a one-of in the deck and exists to deal with annoying FTJ armory lists. I personally encountered quite a few of these and it helped me to win against those decks any time I brought it out with parul's choice, though it's a card I wouldn't be surprised to see other people take out to add an extra of something else.
