I've been primarily playing this deck on ladder since the instigator & cutpurse nerfs. I climbed to masters pretty easily this month, seems pretty good against what people are playing at the moment.
An obvious question is whether this is better than yetis. I can't answer that quantitatively, and I haven't played very many games of yetis, but this feels better to me. Yetis has some busted draws that this deck can't really compete with but this deck is much less reliant on synergy and feels more consistent.
Some notes on card choices:
3 Blazing Salvo - I've been asked why I play less than 4 of these. Salvo is a terrible card on its own and is largely only as good as the market access is. Market access is generally not very valuable in this deck since you're so focused on winning the game as quickly as possible. A lot of the matchups where the market access is valuable are matchups where it's hard to get value out of salvo (or even to find a target to cast it on), and a lot of the matchups where you want to cast salvo you're not in a good position to go to the market at the time you want to cast it. I think it's good enough to play since it's some fast interaction against early units & gives access to both backlash & ice bolt, but I don't think you want the full playset. If I was regularly playing against midrange/control & rarely playing against aggro I'd likely cut some or all of these for Dazzles.
16 one drops - One drops are good. Snowcrust Yeti is the best one, since the aegis is really valuable. Oni Ronin is the second best since it's usually the best one drop on turn one. Pyroknight & Oni Patrol are pretty close. Obviously Pyroknight is better on turn one & a better late game draw, but Oni Patrol in your opening hand can lead to pretty insane draws that are hard for a lot of decks to recover from.
Kaleb's Persuader - This is kind of a flex slot, but persuader has been quite good lately. It's obviously very good with Vadius, and Snowcrust Yeti is also a good target. It can also deal a bunch of damage with a double damage Jekk or a Milos if your opponent gives you the opportunity.
I never (never!) pulled off the Slag from the Market but I understand it's better to stay there, in case you meet the Relics deck and you want to (try to) do something.
