Control the game until you can safely play chalice and go to town with value.
The self-sacrifice package with
Ephemeral Wisp,
Sadistic Ritualist,
Madness and
Devour is very powerful, both as a draw engine and as tricky removal against revenge units or decks with recursion in general.
Vara, Vengeance-Seeker helps stabilizing versus aggro, and is immensly useful when dealing with aegis units. She also pops face aegis to make way for your rain of frogs later in the game.
One
Infinite Hourglass is a free roll with
Display of Knowledge in the deck. Being able to buff your units with chalice and immediately block with them is immensly helpful in a lot of matchups.
Updates:
2018-12-29: Reworked power base to include
Auralian Cargo. The new power split is made to maximize the chances to be able to play hailstorm on turn 3, while still having enough time+shadow to consistently play units on the early turns.
2018-12-30: Further updated power base to take full advantage of cargos. They really only fetch you power in the early turns (1-4), so having more sigils than one of each required influence is unnecessary. The rest of the slots can be filled with banners and waystones.I also included 2 main deck
Banish, because I started to encounter a lot more
Avigrafts.
2019-12-08: Added a
Cabal Standard for more potential combat tricks with very low opportunity cost, and changed
Rain of Frogs to
Disjunction to handle expensive relics like sword of the sky king, temporal or azindel's gift better.
