Information

This is my current brew and is surprisingly decent right now on ranked ladder. At gold 2 after the master reset, climbing steadily. While I am playing Haunting Scream and Rindra, the Duskblade this is not a screaming reanimator deck, but rather an aggro deck that wants to curve out and uses scream for the extra reach. This deck list is not solidified and needs tweaking for the meta, but some inclusions have been surprisingly impressive. Beserk is a very strong keyword and much like rakano, the inclusion of plenty of lifesteal allows us to outrace most other aggro decks. I’ll cover some of the cards below.

1-drops: Sewer Sludge and Twilight Raptor work well together. We look to drop the sludge first, which is an impressive aggro unit. If you are curving out, this thing will grow quickly and is also an okay scream target if Rindra is missing from the yard. Raptor doesn’t always make it down on turn one, but a lot of the meta atm is weak to flyers and he usually does a good amount of damage over the match. Suffocate is basically only here because of Teacher of Humility. While we aren’t a control deck, we do draw cards from nightfall and destiny, so we would rather not deal with the weights. It is also good for clearing deadly blockers or a flying chump blocker.

2-drops: Dusk Raider is also surprisingly good. The nightfall helps ensure you will hit a unit with inspire and beserk is REALLY strong on Rindra, the Duskblade. Sometimes it eats a torch but we still draw an extra card and the extra damage can be useful. Piercing Grief is self explanatory and an obvious inclusion for both aggro and void shenanigans. Annihilate is also a necessary evil with all the time decks around now. It is flexible and if you are seeing other units you can substitute it with Rindra's Choice or maybe Rapid Shot if you want to go all in on aggro and forego the removal. I personally dislike Rapid Shot because we need more units to get hit with beserk and it sucks sometimes to have a hand of spells and no units. We already have removal and scream/dark return.

3-drops: Kerendon Merchant is nice since the deadly is good for slowing down big decks and most of what we want to fetch is shadow. The market inclusions are very flexible and I prefer a toolbox style, but you could easily choose your own style, or put Rindra, the Duskblade in the market to guarantee drawing him. Your choice. Gorgon Fanatic and Wisdom of the Elders are our card draw. The fanatic is a flexible slot and other cards could be subbed in. It can be very useful against control, but isn’t the most impressive in all matchups.

4-drops: Rindra, the Duskblade and Corrupted Umbren both function similarly. Obviously Rindra is much stronger, overwhelm is great and the lifegain lets us race other aggro decks. I felt sometimes like we needed some more lifesteal and beserk is strong for screaming back to play.

5-drop: Champion of Wisdom the feln staple. He might be more of a midrange and control finisher but his mass pump is very relevant on a board full of berserk, lifesteal, flying, overwhelm units. Hard for control to deal with as well. Much more suited to this kind of deck.

That’s it. This probably isn’t a top tier deck, but feln is my favorite tribe and I like to spice up my ladder experience on occasion. Some glaring weaknesses might seem to be removal pile decks and big decks, but the charge and recurring threats give us the extra reach we need in those matchups while also not being an auto-concede to skycrag/stonescar aggro. A much better player could probably optimize this list, but for now I thought I would share it in the original form. Thanks for reading.
