Back before Baby Vara came into existence, TJP Midrange with Stand Together was a scary thing. Then every deck got Vara. Now, however, my own experience has been that Vara isn't in every deck anymore. Many top decks have her, but many don't. And even if she is in the deck, she's 4 of 75 and won't always show up. FJP these days tends to rely more on board clear than it does on Vara and against that, this deck shines. Save your stand togethers against their Harsh Rules and watch them instant concede (this happens a lot). Otherwise, this deck just beats on people who take a while to set-up. Hurler and Hojan are great against aggro and stand together and sword of unity are great against control. Scalebreaker can make any unit you have be evasive (you don't need to put her weapon on her).
When Vara does show up, you have 2 market cards to transform her and 1 to just dodge her. In addition, you have your enforcers to silencer her. It goes without saying - don't play a Shelterwing Rider with her on the board, but when she isn't around, Rider is a powerhouse in the skies.
Obviously, depending on what you're seeing on the ladder this may not be the deck to pick, but it is a fun one that has been performing great for me.
