I am just someone running the deck currently but IMO Karvet isn’t absolutely essential to the way the deck runs if you can’t afford him. In my matches it’s been more about being aggressive as quickly as possible, but he has saved my bacon on a few occasions when the deck has run into the late game and I can fetch him with forge to get some blockers and gain some life back. Cozin has also done some wonders filling that three drop spot and stalling out attackers on the ground while allowing your dragons to be aggressive in the skies.
