Whomever you may be, know that I have enjoyed this very much and it is doing somewhat well in throne. the only change i made was replacing telut with eilyn. I just like her ability to shut things down when she hits the board. the other thing i'm contemplating is making some of the other units purple and adding big vara. there seems to be some value to doing that. great deck!
I'm glad you like it! I've actually made a similar change recently, although I cut Kenna for Eilyn over Telut. I'll update the list to reflect my most recent version.
as i play (win) more with it, i think i agree! we tend to attack with one creature then sacrifice it for value. i might add telut back, because it is more in line with svetya AND there isn't really a spell that is begging to be played again. I also kept big vara out bc i dont have any of the units that would love to be brought back by her. although now that i think about it, snowcrush animist might be worth a 1 of craft. either, still having fun with it! with a user name like kozilex and the title of this deck having the word pod in it, i'm assuming you play MTG as well?
Yup, I've found that Telut fits in well with how the games tend to play out. Plus, it makes playing Sediti and Svetya much more reliably doable.
I also agree on Vara; the curse value engine just doesn't have the shadow units to make her worth it. If you really want to try her, I'd suggest cutting Grodov's Stranger for Aurapiercer as an alternative value unit that Keelos for 8 and plays well with Vara. Honestly though, I think optimizing the Vara route leads to a different deck that maybe forgos the curse theme altogether.
Snowcrush Animist could be good, although only having a single unit to Keelo for it (Black-Sky) makes it tricky to find when you really need the sweeper. Svetya is great because she doesn't really care when you play her to get value, so it's ok that the Keelo curve won't reliably find her early. If you want Animist, I'd again consider Aurapiercer over Grodov's Stranger.
I've been playing MTG pretty much forever, although my LGS closed so Eternal is my card game of choice nowadays. I'm down to a single MTG deck for now: an EDH deck partly themed around Birthing Pod (which explains why I love playing with Keelo so much).
