Based on the Hooru Flyers (Top 100 Masters) deck from the early Omens meta. Capable of free wins from fast draws against most of the field. Bartholo/Slay gives the deck a chance against Sandstorm Titan. The deck may need some tuning, but it's been over .500 on high ladder with a medium sample size.
I will probably try out some number of Lethrai Falchion due to its synergy with Bartholo.
Edit #1: Made the promised Falchion/Hammer switch.
The ShiftstonedEternal Power Calculator is a deck-building tool that visualizes your odds of drawing enough Influence and Power based specifically on the cards found in your deck.
After some testing I did end up removing Tinker Overseer and Paladin Oathbook. Oathbook was only getting value against Heavy Control and Overseer isn't needed with the number of fliers already in the list.
I replaced Overseer with Argenport Instigator as an early blocker against Token decks and aggro. Steward of the Past replaced Oathbook for Midrange blocking and countering the large number of recussion based decks out there. Climbed 100 ranks in masters from 520 to 420 with it (tanked my rank trying to find a build of Dark Roaches that works).
I like the idea of Steward a lot, especially as the recursion decks have taken a large chunk of the meta. I'll have to try them out. I've been running Impending Dooms of late for midgame punch and switched out Hammers for Falchions as mentioned above. The Falchions feel like a good switch, as Bartholo can now singlehandedly swing a race, but the Dooms haven't really done a lot for me. I've been hovering at around 400 in Masters since making the changes.
I brewed this up specifically because I wanted to run an Oathbook/Bartholo deck against Heart/Titan decks, and I've found the combo effective there, but the meta has shifted, so I'll likely try some of this out. Thanks for the feedback!
I'd love to add some draw. I think it's hard to draw cards without going into Primal, and the mana (sorry..er...influence...) is already a little sketchy sometimes. Any ideas?
