New gauntlet is insane. Previously the AI would have a perfect hand every 10games, now it's every 2-3 games. AI power curves perfectly almost everygame now and if you can't answer aggro fast enough it kills you by turn 4.
I am having less than 30% (gauntlet completed runs) with every gauntlet deck and this seems to be slightly better than most. Since 80% of the cards are 2 costs with a LOT of ways to gain power with combos , the cards can all ramp up to be as good if not better than much higher costing units.
Though it costs only ~30k shiftstones I am having slightly better results than decks that cost 3x as much.
When restricted on 2 power using reweave into golems works a treat. Even using vanquisher blade/spell on Hojans on 2 power even when not needed can help a lot since the new AI ramps up greatly and with some decks being stuck on 2 power for 2turns is an auto loss.
Added in Howling Kurturr for pledge which when played is decent(not the best) but it's pretty much an added 5% chance you'll get 3 power on turn 3 instead of 2. (Happens way too much for me)
Combos:
Warleader is great. Having 2 warleaders out stacks. So if you have 2 warleaders with +1 inspire out the next draw will get +2 not +1.
It's also a good blocker at 2/3 since most turn 2 units won't be 3/x at turn 2.
Standstrong is what the main combo is. Stand strong on piercing grief means your other unit will gain +3/1 revenge/lifesteal/charge.
It works with reweave so you can reweave a golem after you exalted it to gain say another +3/1 revenge/lifesteal/charge + another 2cards.
Reweave into hojan activates its renown so that combo pulls out 1 power +2 cards(golem).
Dreadhellkite is a good card to deal with blockers/deadly and also a good card for sacking (+4/3 flying/deadly)
Sirafs just shine with exalt or inspired(blackhall). As soon as it gets it to the point it has 5attack it starts pulling out 6+ double damage legendaries everyturn. You can also exalt him mid/late game just to boost out the legendaries(if you have 8+power)
Deck isn't fully optimized , but it's hard to optimize the deck considering I don't want to start turn 1 with 4 reweaves or 4 sirafs(which is why I limited a lot of cards to 2 whereas 4 descrates is playable). Having said that I did start out turn 1 with 4 stand strongs..(love how the AI shuffles every possible bad hand for you) , but that's why you see a lot of cards being 2 and only a few allrounders being 4.
Deck's harder to play than most due to the amount of decision making needed but besides a few auto losses(4 stand strongs in starting hand) the losses I had were due to bad decision making not because there wasn't a solution.
