End of the story is quite important to this deck. If you like playing control decks I'd highly recommend crafting it, as it's a strong control card that sees play in many decks. As for a replacement, you can always play Leave a Witness, but EoS is a good bit strong so you will be reducing the deck quality. You should also note that this deck doesn't have any defiance cards, as it's an older list and I haven't optimized it for the current meta. In fact, I'm not even sure if this deck is good anymore, given that the current meta seems to be in chaos. Just something to keep in mind.

What happened to the Time splash? Is it not worth it anymore

The time splash was mainly for desert marshal, as a counter to haunted highway. Since HH has become far less prevalent, the time splash is less necessary. In addition, I hadn't thought of previously but signal flare is a fine anti-aggro card, and valkyrie enforcer is a pretty good stand-in for desert marshal. The added stability from only having 2 colours is huge, as well as the ability to play 4 copies of granite waystone. Hope that makes sense!
