The ShiftstonedEternal Power Calculator is a deck-building tool that visualizes your odds of drawing enough Influence and Power based specifically on the cards found in your deck.
My skyscrag aggro deck that I comfortably piloted to 4 copies of Light the Fuse.
The format is extreme fast and you need to be able to survive aggressive decks and also maintain a board presence. At the same time you need plan to win.
I decided to maximise playing 1 drops and also making sure I had decent value with each card.
Key cards.
Rockslide is how you beat any mono red matchup or Hojan. Despite each player drawing extra cards, being able to 2 for 1 on the board is vital in a format that lasts 5/6 turns.
On the Hunt is a subtle threat here that has 4 toughness and charge which survives Lightning Storm and Hailstorm. Also a great way to maximise your power each turn.
Jenner Merchant is extremely useful here as an Aegis unit that helps you establish board position. Having aegis means it costs a Char or Torch to clear the way while setting up a Lightning Storm or Hailstorm if you fall behind. Also gets Maul when you don’t kill your opponent by turn 5.
Alpine Tracker is a pet card of mine and great in this format in clearing all the one toughness units and also being a charge threat. In a race each player is often leaving back the odd grenadin to chump block and Alpine Tracker makes sure to clear the way. Also remember that it kills your Ticking Grenadin.
Permafrost is underrated for this event as for a single power it answers Teacher, Vara, Whirling Virtuoso and Lethrai Darkstalker.

By the way, Whirling Virtuoso is a MtG card. I am guessing you mean Whirling Duo
