no longer expedition legal. took some of the stun mechanics that worked well in this deck and crafted a Blue/Green deck around that called "Stun Gun" ... works better than this one as well.
This is a variant of a Fog-rod deck here on EWC
I did not care for the original's use of Relic Weapons and Purple splash. I attempted to go mono-green but after some iterating it simply did not have enough teeth and was too slow. I settled on this variant (for now) and am still looking to swap a few things around.
It's basically a mid-range combo deck with weapons and stuns to tie up the enemy. Sometimes you simply overwhelm in the mid-game with a Marshall - Fencing Master - Peacekeeper's Prod combo, but often you're just stalling until you can do a board wipe and then race.
Board wipes:
Equalize - For when you're quite behind, but careful with the hand discard
Shen Ra Speaks - If you don't have the Tavrod combo yet sometimes you just have to wipe the board
Tavrod + Audacious Ruse = One sided board wipe typically
Tavrod + Ruse Combo - You need 7 Power and 3 Green (Justice). Play Ruse first, lower the enemy's attack, then play Tavrod and their health also becomes their low attack and they die. One sided board wipe.
If you can Tavrod + Ruse, you simply race and usually are faster.
Problems:
1. I don't love the power set up yet. If I lose it's typically b/c I did not draw enough power.
2. It sometimes feels slow. You have no 1 drops and few 2 drops, but your 3s are very strong.
Things not to do:
1. Don't make aggressive trades
2. Don't push too early.
3. Don't freak out if you're behind
4. Don't wait too long to board wipe. You can usually outrun someone if they've exhausted their hand.
Things to do:
1. Apply some pressure to make the opponent play cards
2. Use your mid range combos to buff creatures and threaten the opponent.
3. Stun all the things. You have a lot of ways to proc stun, use it.
I'm open to any suggestions, please critique.
