A Xenan deck I've been dabbling with on the side, really fun to play, not sure how competitive though. This is the current iteration I'm trying out with some cards on the sideboard that could work with the deck. Haven't tried how the deck would perform with merchants.
Pathlighter is one of the most crucial cards in the deck and should be tributed with either
Magenta Wisp or
Chairman's Contract before playing it, if possible. Give it
Xenan Initiation for it to act as a strong removal.
Soulbringer is the main workhorse of the deck and the idea is to bring back any of the wisps except
Ephemeral Wisp which are brought back with power cards. Also, they are excellent second candidate for
Xenan Initiation.
Memory Dredger is there to keep pressure by bringing back 1-2 mana wisps and
Mitotic Wisp is there to fetch any of the required radants (mostly Soulbringers) and also to act as a small blocker in air as deck suffers against flyers. That is the only reason why
Sandstorm Scarf is in the deck (could be removed).
Vara, Fate-Touched is absolutely ridiculous if allowed to stick for a turn because in combination with
Soulbringer in the void, you can flood the board in a single turn.
Worldjoiner is a late game bomb that can be swapped out with anything, placed them in just because I had them. Although, they are ridiculous on turn 5 with
Grasping at Shadows if you manage to throw them in the void with
Chairman's Contract or your opponent kindly does it for you.
Vault of the Praxis is your card draw engine, works much better with
Preserver of Dualities in the deck, but it still triggers enough for it to stay in my experience.
Cutting out high cost cards and topping off the deck at 4 mana with
Soulbringer and
Memory Dredger, there is a potential for a decent tempo deck by adding some more removal and shuffling out the wisps with units like
Wandering Wisp,
Feral Spiteling,
Nocturnal Creeper,
Dawnwalker etc.
