My take on temporal that took me to top 200 masters.
The idea I had when making this deck was: fire is really good, so how do I fit that into a temporal (TJP) deck?
I had tried many variants of a four faction version, but all of them seemed very inconsistent.
Splashing fire for
Display of Instinct and
Xo of the Endless Hoard was fine, but at that point it wasn't really a different deck.
The next step was replacing one of the existing factions with fire.
Time was important because it had a major core card,
Temporal Distortion.
Primal had all the major card draw engine, such as
Strategize,
Wisdom of the Elders, and
Brilliant Idea.
Therefore, I gave up justice.
Fire allows us to play
Torch, a great card that helps us in the early game, that we definitely need as we no longer have
Defiance.
Display of Instinct is an extremely versatile card. It can act as a counterspell, removal, heal, or even burn.
Moment of Creation is our finisher, replacing
The Great Parliament.
Xo of the Endless Hoard is an obvious inclusion, giving us card advantage as well as a strong unit.
Treasure Trove buffs up our
Moment of Creation as well.
Howling Peak is a great value card, playing spells to buff
Moment of Creation and mirroring merchants is very helpful
Kaleb, Reborn is great for refueling a dead hand. Finally, I have two copies of
Bore, whose main purpose is to remove multiple copies of
Permafrost or any relics, as well as buffing
Moment of Creation.
The time merchant is extremely important. It has aggro removal in
Cirso's Choice, ramp with
Eternity Core,
Moment of Creation as a finisher,
Temporal Distortion for obvious reasons, and
Excavate to regain cards from the void.
Lumen Reclaimer can replace Cirso's Choice in the market, especially against the Vara combo, but when I was playing I faced more aggro
The rest of the deck is pretty self explanatory. Switching around which cards are three-ofs and four-ofs can be good, but I feel this setup is one of the best. The power base is nothing special either.
I'm open to suggestions!
