Soulsbornepain Eternal Version: 1.46.7
Does this deck still perform well?
HamAndSwiss Eternal Version: 1.43.0.6161
I am really enjoying this deck so far. Its a lot of fun just grinding the opponent out with infinite makto. I gotta ask though, why shakedown? Maybe it is my own bias (i absolutely hate the card) but i feel like every time i play it, i either wiff entirely and pitch something useless while giving my opponent a card, or i hit a merchant or something good, just to draw them another merchant or similar play anyways. I gotta ask, am i missing something? My assumption is half the benefit is the nightfall as you seem to be going for a nightfall sub-theme, presumably to draw you into revenge units, but would the deck not be better off running some sort of other draw engine that doesnt help the opponent?
Eyestrained Eternal Version: 1.43.0.6161
I personally hate shakedown for those reasons but being able to pick off merchants, early Aggro drops or power dorks is so good and gives more time to stabilize plus nightfall drawing into revenge units faster helps.

Glad you’re enjoying the deck.

Sorry about the double post, but I just made a couple changes and it made a huge improvement in my WR, was somewhere in the 75% Wr ballpark through diamond to masters.

-3 shakedown -1 tomb (admit i just didnt have 3 copies) and -1 dizo's office from market. +2 dizo's office in maindeck +2 end of story +1 azindel's gift (in market)

Idea being i wanted to go all in on the "stall and outvalue" game. Was facing a lot of control, gift won me a good number of games alone. I wasnt loving dizo's in the market, it just felt overly exensive to pull, and at that point of the game i almost always wanted chains. The two copies in maindeck felt really good actually, i would just market it away if I drew it too early. Having the lifesteal/hard removal/occasional scheme felt really good bridging the gap to chains without having to pull it.

Thanks for the initial list! Hope i dont come off as tearing it apart, rather I just wanted to share my twist!
HamAndSwiss Eternal Version: 1.43.0.6161
Maybe I just had a bad set of games. Felt like everything of value that I picked off just was drawn into anyways. Thanks for the reply!
Ninjacan Edited Eternal Version: 1.42.3
Holy crap, been a while since we had an update on this! How's it been working out for you?

Also:
Why End of the Story over Harsh rule?
Why no Harsh Rule in the Market?
How necessary is 4 Regent's Tomb? I only have 2, think I can just play something else in that slot?
Eyestrained Eternal Version: 1.42.3
AP Snacks got me to masters before the FJS nerfs. Trading their rizahns with maktos until you can drop a chains seemed to work really well.

End of the Story is more for the warp effect since this deck doesn’t have any cheap tribute enablers besides devour and the FJS days were so slow that waiting an extra turn was usually ok. This deck doesn’t really struggle vs big boards so I didn’t feel like I needed a harsh rule in there when I can just chump block until I draw another end of the story.

Tomb is important to pick off cold bloods and other marketed hate cards as well as gives you more sacrifice fodder. Sabo or maybe shakedown can be replacements. I actually wanted to try shakedown but couldn’t think of what to cut.
Ninjacan Eternal Version: 1.42.3
Thanks for answering all my questions!
Devaco Eternal Version: 1.36
l'm only missing 4k worth of cards for this deck .. question is what's the likeliness of this making it to masters?
Gaze73 Eternal Version: 1.36
I'm nearly D1 with it, going very smoothly so far.
Gaze73 Edited Eternal Version: 1.36
My changes +2 Annihilate (damn teachers) + End of the Story + Stray into Shadow to Market. -2 Direwood -1 Favor, -1 Steward (who plays with void these days?) Might possibly cut one more favor, I find myself flooded a lot.
Eyestrained Eternal Version: 1.36
Do you think Annihilate is still good? I’ve been seeing a lot less monotime recently. What about suffocates instrad since they also hit maiden which hoses this deck pretty hard? End of the Story looks like it’s worth trying out if tjp comes back in full force.

Steward was there because idk what else to add to the market at the time and was expecting more scream decks. I guess a banner would work but with 33 power sources and lots of drawing I haven’t had too many power issues. I’d also cut the porters before cutting favors since they’re more important for answering t5 icarias or landing a gift. Someone else tried ~~a new tomorrow~~ the end is near to thin the deck later on.
Gaze73 Edited Eternal Version: 1.36
I didn't test it much tbh, and 2 copies are not enough for 4 teachers anyway. It's probably best to not play the deck at all when you face Time a lot. End is Near sounds good in theory but it's 5 mana do nothing and after a while it's something like 5 mana draw 3 cards over 5 turns, very slow. You woud also play it post-gift and at that point you probably already won. I also just got the idea to try Memory Dredger so you can generate infinite wisps and gargoyles.
Eyestrained Edited Eternal Version: 1.36
From my experience Time decks have been one of the easiest matchups. You have plenty of removal for their big threats, can outgrind them easily, and harsh rule/torrent can brickwall them altogether. Plus there’s plenty of chump blockers for teacher until you draw an answer.
Tonychou Eternal Version: 1.36
I add the end is near in the market, and it works :)
anomia Edited Eternal Version: 1.36
Have you tried this on ranked? Does it perform well? And I am missing something? What does discarding power procs?
Kriegsgeschrei Eternal Version: 1.36
The point of The End is Near is to stop drawing power after you have reached your peak (either the flat 7 power for curve or 9 power so you can Dizo + extort) so that you can gain some tempo, as the opponent will not have a guaranteed 10 cards w/o any power
Tonychou Eternal Version: 1.36
Not very competitive.About 50%winrate.But in those game I casted the end is near, about 80%.
Notice:The teacher of humility is the biggest threat for this deck.
OldGuardian Edited Eternal Version: 1.31
I continue to be very pleased with this deck, however, I disagree with the -2 Harsh Rule, +2 Sabotage decision as Rule has just been way too good for me to even want to consider dropping its number.
What I have done is -2 Fallen Oni, -1 Dark Wisp, -1 Direwood Prowler and +4 Tranquil Scholar.
The pupils + Memory Dredger add so much to the deck that I find it to be incredible and haven't regretted the changes for a moment.
Who doesn't love an Aegis, unblockable, Double damage Makto? XD
cwhitman Eternal Version: 1.31
I just posted my updated version of this deck on here, that I've been doing incredibly well with on ladder. Argenport Sacrifice Valuetown

This deck is really insane... unbelievable thank you!!
SteveH1972 Eternal Version: 1.31
wow, omg!!!. I’ll give this deck 5 thumbs up if I could. Amazing deck. You cant lose. You literally fall into wins with this deck. Great build.
OldGuardian Edited Eternal Version: 1.29
Played this deck ton, switched out Torrent of Spiders and a prowler for 3x memory Dredger. Love the deck, Lots of fun with it!

I really enjoy how it can play control and yet, at the same time, snub its nose at other control decks.
Void Edited Eternal Version: 1.29
Well , i change 2 torrent spider into 2 memory dredger cause i dont have torrent spider . This deck quite amazing if i must honest ( im considering dark return but dunno is it really worth or not )
frmorrison Eternal Version: 1.29
I added memory dredger instead of 2 Makto to get more units.
Gregorious Edited Eternal Version: 1.29
Really fun deck. Only have 1 Makto so threw in three Inquisitor's Blade.

EDIT: Crafted another Inquisitor Makto. So 2 now. Also an additional Torrent of Spiders. Removed 3x Inquisitor's Blade's.
Gaze73 Edited Eternal Version: 1.29
For some reason I can't import this particular deck, first time I encountered such error. Might be a Dizo thing. Edit: Yep, just remove Dizo from the clipboard and it imports fine.
VaylinArcher Eternal Version: 1.29
So much fun! So much card draw! The only problem is that it needs MORE Dizo! but im not sure theres room. Also, maybe -1 Vara's Favor +1 Torrent? The card is too good to just have 2.
VoidKing Eternal Version: 1.42.2
Does it really draw that well?

Just because it plays 4 devour and 4 outrageously costed direwood prowlers?

I know it has the dark wisps, but all they do is replace themselves. Is this deck really good? I haven't played it so idk, but at a glance I can't help but be skeptical.
VaylinArcher Eternal Version: 1.42.2
My comment was from 10 months ago, but yeah the deck drew well. Don't forget that destiny also draws you a card. Devour is for drawing and protecting your units from silence or ICB (or Avigraft in today's set). I haven't tried the deck again since the new set dropped, but I'm sure it's still fun.
VoidKing Eternal Version: 1.42.2
Ah, okay. Thanks for the input!
Eyestrained Eternal Version: 1.29
Thanks but if you cut Vara’s Favor you’ll have less ways to pop face aegis for the extortion. I’m thinking of going 3/3 prowler/dizo split or maybe 2/4.

I found those deck doesn’t fill it’s void as fast as other sacrifice decks so I started with 2 and I’m not sure what I could cut for it. Plus this deck doesn’t buff its units like obelisk so al the little spiders still die to storms/bsh. It’s amazing vs time decks and harsh rule however.
Wind Eternal Version: 1.29
Is Makto replacable in this deck with a more budget option?
damanjeff6 Edited Eternal Version: 1.29
Inquisitor's Blade? Build your own Makto
Maybe +2 Dizo and +2 Blade?
Lagrangian Eternal Version: 1.29
Another choice might be Umbren Reaper - it's quite a good Entomb, but very fragile.
frmorrison Eternal Version: 1.29
Try Colony Matron or Amilli.
