Kosul Huntsman is a Gunslinger now, so I decided to see what kind of decks you can build now that you couldn't before. This one is basically a tempo deck that uses weapon and unit based removal to pack the deck with more threats than you could if you were running things like Slay.
Huntsman has been surprisingly useful as a early game removal and blocker but it's not amazing or anything. The combo with Hideout Pistol usually feels really nice, but I don't think there's enough Gunslingers to run 4 Pistols. Linebreaker's Shield is more generally useful and is similarly good with Huntsman. I think I underrated this card, but I'm still not sure it's constructed worthy.
The deck synergizes pretty well with him between Finest Hour (and even Levitate occasionally), Warcry, and the Weapons. Rooftop Vigilante can theoretically give him deadly as well, but that's probably going to be less common. Levitate isn't ideal but I think you want 8 1 cost Renown activators and I like it better than Lock Horns or Sharpened Reflexes. But it's very possible that one of those is better, or even something like Gift of Battle.
The power is delicately tuned, don't mess with it unless you're gonna dare to dew the math.
I call it future gunslingers because it feels like it could be a good deck but it needs at least more one good 2 drop gunslinger. Right now there aren't really any other than Argenport Instigator, but the power sucks with him in the deck. The only way to add him is to cut one color of two drop, and that's still probably only going to make the power bearable as opposed to impossible. It seems like when this 3 color faction gets more support there might be better options. I think it's very possible the faction theme works well with this deck and something like it gets a lot of support. Also Kosul Huntsman could become an actually good card with more support. But for now it's probably just an idea to play around with.
