I always come back to trying mono-shadow when new sets/campaigns hit. There has been a new set, a campaign, and some nerfs/buffs since I last updated/looked at the deck and boy did we get some good ones. Dizo's Office is a huge addition while we also picked up Rhysta from set 5. Desecrate though is one of the best cards to come out of the campaign (the site being the actual best) we have incidental lifegain so the damage is barely noticeable then we get ponysnatcher another double shadow two drop which shadow is not short of but right now might be the best one to play because of how warping/important markets are. I cut all the scout power because I wanted to give veteran mercenary another try after its stat/cost change.

Just thought I would throw it out there that I went 28-0 in Master gauntlet with this deck and it was very fast. I am quite pleased considering I didnt even bother switching out things like Ponysnatcher and Burglarize that aren't very valuable in gaunt. Wonderful deck!

I found the deck performed better when I tweaked it to end game sooner, since most multifaction decks have way more value. Dropped a couple mug/cull for instigator 2 drop. Left the veteran in for “fun”

I found burglarize to be too slow even as a counter to chains. They often already got value off playing it. So I took it out of the market and replaced it with bloodlust. Figured I’d use their buffed unit to kill them and end it there. It’s also not a dead market card against non relic decks. It’s been performing awesome, highly suggest trying it.

Also took out big Vara since bloodlust is good to just end games, big Vara felt too slow since most games are lost when you can hard cast her anyways. Replaced her with Slimespitter slug to combat flying units.

Caiphus VS mercenary ? Which is good?

Caiphus is much stronger but you need to be playing Dark Return or a similar effect to get the most out of him. Mercenary is a nice little 2 for 1 but the body isnt all that great and shadow has a plethora of 4+ drops you can run if you don't want to play merc.

I feel that card is more of an aggressive one and this deck isnt really that - you can certainly tailor the deck that way however.

Like the concept but dislike the build. Wasn't working particularly well for me. I built it my own way based off this foundation and have been doing very well today. For reference I'm a Master level player who has climbed from Gold 3 to Gold 1 in one day after the reset with this build-

I would recommend Devouring Shadow for Vargo decks right now. If you play it as a response on 4 it kills the critter.

Seconded, you really need Devouring to handle the Vargo-sweep decks out there as they will simply rule your ripknifes, kennys and varas without hesitation.

I've just cut the set back for devouring shadow in the market. I think you still want Mug as it good after the opponent plays a smuggler or just to use right before turn 6 to hit a site

How often do you pull Vara out of the market? Is it worth having her considering none of the other creatures will trigger vara more than once?

Not very often - its good in the very grindy matchups but you can tech that spot to be anything you want - the 4th office, Argentport Ringmaster, Whispers in the Void, Azindel's Gift,Sleepless Night etc.

Sadly nothing quite is the same as Dizo's Office. You can add any of the cards I listed above or from my old list Shadowlands Tyrant - shadow has no shortage of top end powerful cards you can run.
