Went 5-3 with this (and sitting just short of top 1,000 after one run), but it felt like it could do better if I'd made better decisions in a couple situations. Noticed no one's playing Argenport in this Event, and wanted to see what I could do with it. An important thing to note here is that since the units summoned by this Event's effect appear on the field before the spell effects resolve,
Harsh Rule will kill whatever it summons. You ideally want a
Dark Return if you're going to
Harsh Rule. Still, given how quickly boards can spiral out of your control, and since it adds a 5 drop to your void, I feel like a pair of
Harsh Rules is good to have.
The number of one-offs in this deck actually
does serve a minor purpose. I've noticed
Rain of Frogs (and to a lesser extent,
Unexpected Results) are common in this Event. The one-offs are serviceable enough in this format (actually, you could stand to bring another
Plague), but they're also good bait for these spells, where ordinarily you'd be stuck with four frogs no matter what your opponent picks.
The one change I'll consider making for my next run is possibly adding a few
Inquisitor Maktos to the deck. Relying entirely on spells, it's easy to end up in situations where you just can't get a unit to fight with. (The 5 drops
Harsh Rule will put into your void can sometimes have unexpectedly bad numbers.) Makto survives all of the Primal damage spells you'll commonly see, short of
Channel the Tempest, can be
Devoured or
Harsh Ruled without too much concern if he gets
Permafrosted, and having a guaranteed flier with solid attack would be a huge boon.
