Hey everyone, this is the list that I used most of the time to climb to masters this season. Posting here to help new players :)
It is the
ManuS' TJP Midrange List with some vegan budget replacements:
Crownwatch Paladin instead of
Kothon, the Far-Watcher and
Auric Record Keeper replacing
Knight-Chancellor Siraf
It goes without saying that the budget version lost A LOT of late-game power. But you still win a lot simply by abusing Aegis.
Some tips for new players:
Vs
Control - push your damage with Aegis units. Be smart with your
Stand Together. Don't over-extend without Stand Together! Equivocate your units just before they would die so you can keep a board.
Vs
Aggro - Most of the time you can't afford to attack with units without
Endurance. Your gameplan here is to stall and take as little damage as possible. Your main HootHoot (
Shelterwing Rider ) is a pain for aggro to remove. Even if they get rid of her aegis, you still get a 0/5 body to soak damage, and you may get her strength back with a
Stand Together
Vs.
Midrange - learn when to save
Vanquish,
Equivocate and your silences for their
Sandstorm Titans,
Tavrod, Auric Brokers and similar units. Push damage with fliers, make good trades with
Finest Hour, eat your soy ice-cream after they put their third Tavrod and you have no answers... breath slowly and keep your Owl-like zen posture :)
Vs.
Tokens - you will probably lose :D
If you like this deck's style, you may also enjoy some Combrei Aggro for even faster games, but less HootHoot.
Happy climbing!
