So,
Glimpse the Possibilities is a hilarious card when combined with
Workshop Forge, and I wanted to make a deck for it. Initially, I had a Jennev deck themed around
Call the Ancients and
Torgov's Trading Post but after they "bugfixed" (nerfed) Glimpse, it wasn't working out too well. I figured the "Storm" route was the optimal way to go after that.
The biggest struggle was minimizing the stoppage in the combo due to Power on the top of your deck. Fortunately,
Packbeast is a 2-drop, so that helps the combo nicely, and
Talir's Sanctum is helpful as well at only 1 power with Forge. More often than not, you get an undepleted power to pay it back, so it's seldom an issue. But I was still running into combo stops with only these cards, and that's when I remembered that
The End is Near exists. So, I dropped Primal for Shadow, added
Treachery and
Vara's Favor, and threw in x2 The End.
It's hilariously inconsistent and I'd love suggestions for improvement, but I have actually made it through my whole deck twice before. I hope other people can find ways to enjoy this meme card, if you have other lists, please share them with me!
As for the market, it's basically:
Excavate - To get back Glimpse and re-combo usually, but can also be additional burn and whatnot. So sad they changed it so the card put on top doesn't have warp anymore. Be mindful of this fact!
Disjunction - To get back Forge, or to take care of another pesky attachment I guess.
Glimpse the Possibilities - Combo card 1!
Talir's Sanctum - Basically the default grab for Merchant off the top, lets you keep comboing and push past power.
Workshop Forge - Combo card 2!
General synergies/strategies
x4 of
Char,
Signal Flare,
Torch,
Kaleb's Favor,
Treachery, and
Vara's Favor equate to 48 total damage. As much as you can, don't hit enemy units. ALL FACE.
Miner's Musket helps you proc Onslaught for Talir's Sanctum, and it ptentially makes cards that cost >2 power free. Also, if they have no units, it's more face damage.
As mentioned above, Packbeast. Sanctum, The End help you get power off the top.
Kindle helps you play more Forges and The End is Near, plus whatever's in your hand
20% of the time, it works every time. Good luck!
