This is basically just a proof of concept deck right now for something I am working on. It's kind of neat because it allows you to stay alive in the early game via lifesteal and in the late game there is a decent amount of damage potential. I really just wanted to have some fun with Mitotic Wisp and find some interesting interactions.

The first thing I thought of was Mitotic Wisp + Umbren Reaper + Mirror Image. If you can get out a Mito Wisp that stays alive to get out a 4 cost Reaper that's already pretty good. The real bonus is if you can keep a Mito Wisp on the field to then Scream back a Reaper. If it's unopposed you swing in for 5 and get 5 extra damage when it dies while getting 5 life fore yourself. What makes it way stronger is something like this sequence

Turn 2 Mitotic Wisp --> Turn 3 Beckoning Lumen --> Turn 4 Umbren Reaper (Reaper then inevitably dies as you play it or during their turn because that's life) --> Turn 5 Haunting Scream Umbren Reaper + Mirror Image to swing in for 15 damage while gaining 5 life, a card and you still have a Reaper. Obviously that's best case scenario but like I said the deck is just proof of concept. I wanted to see if it was at all viable.

There are other interesting things you could do with this deck as well and there are a lot of other card considerations but this is just a rough draft. It's possible this wants to be more of a control style deck to protect you until you get to your win cons. I hope some people can make some use out of this and come up with interesting interpretations of their own.

Only needed one more shadowlands tyrant to make this, so I did it, and this might just be the setup needed to get that card to work. Xenan initiation allows it to reasonably safely set up its attack trigger by throwing it at something that won't kill it, and even if it only gets off one more attack before dying it can be haunting screamed back as a flying killer 3-ping lifesteal. Slip in a mirror image and suddenly you've got yourself a good proper lifestealing killer monster.

That was one of the hopes for the deck. If you can get it to work it's pretty strong, bordering on devastating. It's a strong combo but overall the deck still needs a lot of tuning in order to really be viable. I'm glad you gave it a try and I hope you can tweak it and have somemore fun with it.

just wanted to say i appreciate the work you've putting in lately for brewing, very few of us have the time and patience to actually dig deep

i had some sketches a while back with Mitotic Wisp, but i was just looking at it from the perspective of Mask of Torment, in the wake of the headgear technology and what not.

and ilyon made a pretty sweet dark chalice deck as a result of the headgear tech:

it's really a shame Ephemeral Wisp isn't a radiant, but it might be the kind of thing that would see a spot in a dark chalice and synergize with Mitotic.

Yeah, I was thinking of how Mitotic Wisp could be good with Mask as well but I don't have 4 copies of Mask unfortunately so I'm left with a more janky alternative. I feel you on Ephemeral, that's one of my favorite cards. I used to brew with it constantly because it has so much potential for tinkering. Unfortunately I don't think it belongs in this deck but there may be a way it could work in a Mitotic deck. Honestly I have just been playing around with stuff I enjoy until the next set comes out to give me some more inspiration lol.
