Xenan Killers Midrange (Apr 20 Masters)

Very standard Xenan killer deck with Tasbu as the main focus of the deck.

I like Sandstorm Titan because he dunks on yeti decks and dodges Hideout Pistol (most of the time). He's also better than Prideleader because of Immortalize, so you get more stats and keywords. There's also been a lack of relics in the meta recently, so Prideleader doesn't feel very good at the moment.

Ayan is good because the deck doesn't run merchants. Normally he would be hard to fit, but he works really well without merchants. Ayan is good against Magnificent Stranger, Evenhanded Golem, Blackhall Warleader and the many mana dorks in the meta. Having ambush also means can give a little reach and set up his ultimate. Lifesteal is also a good keyword for Immortalize.

Crack the Earth is mostly used for Ark of Sol and Xenan Temple. You use the card to ramp and make Tasbu more consistent. In certain matchups, particularly the aggressive ones, you want Makkar's Stranger from the market to stabilize the board. Striking Snake Formation annihilates board stalls against other Xenan decks, Elysian decks or the new Vox EHG, while Grodov's Burden is mostly used as a very expensive removal, but the exalted effect is nice too.

Immortalize is used over Dark Return because you can get multiple killers from it.

Unitless decks are almost impossible to beat without Cykalis and Dawnwalker. If their services are ever required, Vishni and Thrashing Dune Wurm are the flex spots.
