So I really like
Anointer of the Faithful. Maybe it's the card art, maybe the text I don't know, but I really wanted to see if there was a way that card would work in a deck. So I typed up some stuff, added some cards in, took some stuff out and here we are.
I played this deck about 10 or so times at Bronze 2, ranked up to Bronze 1 during it, and so far, this is what I've come to find what works:
-The opening hand should definitely have enough power and influence to play a turn 2 Anointer and a Paladin, preferably with bond, on turn 3 (whichever one,
Brightmace Paladin worked exceptionally well in my case though). If you don't have that, at the very least have enough power for a
Winchest Merchant so you can bring in the Anointer relatively early. I feel the whole deck rises and falls based on that card. Might be too early to tell though, only played 10 or so games.
-
Winchest Merchant and
Bloodletter = a fun time. If you've got all the necessary cards in hand, might as well draw the Bloodletter with the merchant and swing for 5 life next turn.
-Wanted Poster and Suffocate (or whatever removal you prefer) for the card draw. You might not need it too often. I personally only used it twice in 10 games, and it wasn't based on necessity either.
-I've pulled
Bartholo, the Seducer once in the entirety of the 10 games. He's just there for an extremely expensive
Auric Runehammer but can hold a weapon really nicely. YMMV
Anwho, still experimenting with this deck. I love being able to bond 2 cards in a row with a weapon and dropping
Rooftop Vigilante on the next turn :P
Let me know what your additions and removals are, I'd love to play with them too.
