Anointer of the Faithful triggers a lot of effects on these units, enabling ramp and Hojun's empower. A notable interaction is using Anointer's bond granting and Hojun's quick empower growth to bond out Reyna, the Unwavering. ideally, it can be done on turn 3(turn 2 Anointer, turn 3 Hojun, play undepleted power, bond out Reyna).

Use the removal to destroy units that will trade unfavorably, deadly units especially. It's often worth it to trade Hojun for several little blockers, though.

Siraf's Beacon is useful, but not required. As relics become more of a staple, it may be worth it to replace the beacons with Disrupt.

Use Avigraft to lock out staples like Vara, SST, Worldbearer, etc.
