1st picked Shatterglass Mage over nothing. 2nd picked Noble Firemane over nothing. 3rd picked Hipshot. 4th picked Archive Curator over Sand Viper. Time was decently open. Justice was more open than Fire as I was passed multiple Awakening Students.
Overall, the deck has a bit of everything. Shouldn’t be painful to pilot.
G1: Traded back and forth. My Outlands Sniper traded for 2 units. My opponent didn’t have a play for multiple turns so I got to hit with Thunderhoof Warrior a few times before his Ice Sprite locked it down. I found Flame Blast for the Ice Sprite with Flame Blast, but he found Dark Return a few turns later. He hit me once with a Lethrai Falcion on Valkyrie Enforcer before I topdecked Archive Curator. Refresh on my Cannonbearer ensured that I had by far the largest unit on the board. I countered his Horsesnatcher Bat with Praxis Displacer on my Archive Curator. General Izalio and Sandstorm sealed the game.
G2: My strangers snuck in some early damage, but the ground stalled quickly. I used 2 Archive Curators and Dispel silencing his Stormcrasher, Stonescar Magus, and Marshal Ironthorn that he Unstable Formed into. My General Izalio allowed me to chunk down his life quickly, but his Adaptive Predator got me low as well. I topdecked Praxis Displacer to win the race.
G3: Strangers traded. My Archive Curator silenced his Shadowlands Bonepicker. He played 2 Trail Runners, which I considered free cards. I used Refresh when he tried to kill my Archive Curator post combat with a Stormcaller. He strangely used on Banish on my stranger rather than the 1/8 Archive Curator stalling his board. He had no answer for my Cannonbearer.
G4: I used Refresh on my Sand Viper to eat one of his units. The Sand Viper stalled the ground while I waited for power. My opponent had 10 power before I had 6 so I kept getting in 4-5 damage. My Time Weaver made Aid of the Hooru even more uncastable. He began to stabilize with Thunderstrike Dragons but I drew Stonescar Maul and had Hipshot in hand.
G5: He played a Clan Hero and used it to spark another Clan Hero. I bounced the 2nd one back to his hand with Praxis Displacer. We were both stuck on 4 power. We traded back and forth to keep the other Clan Hero from sparking. My Time Weaver found Furnace Mage, Flame Blast, Steelfang Chakrum, and Cannonbearer. I chose the Cannonbearer since I had Archive Curator for the Steelfang Chakrum and otherwise couldn’t contest a 5/6. My General Izalio enabled the team to hit for 13 before dying to the aforementioned Flame Blast, which was enough for my own Flame Blast to finish him.
G6: Traded back and forth. My Outlands Sniper and both Cannonbearers got value, but I had no answer for his Impending Doom. I eventually cleared enough blockers to race. I topdecked Archive Curator just in time. To be fair though, Flame Blast or General Izalio or Dispel would have worked too.
G7: I was dumb and kept a slow hand thinking that Hipshot would buy me time. It didn’t. My 1st played on turn 5. I died shortly after.
G8: My draw was slow but my opponent didn’t have Primal influence.
The deck was balanced: great units, decent removal/silences, and a couple bombs. I guess that was enough. Some well-timed topdecks also helped.
