This deck climbed me from Diamond II up to Master in about an hour. Really quick games, winning on turn 4 never gets old :P
Keep in mind, this is not a "free win" deck, you will definitely have games where the deck betrays you and you roll over and die, do not let those games get to you, you will have way more successes than failures with this deck.
Things to keep in mind: Smash face.
-4 Ruthless Stranger
-1 Rapid Shot
+3 Rakano Outlaw
+2 Lurking Sanguar
Strangers are decent, but they're definitely the weakest of this deck's 1-drops, and I felt like they were under-performing a bit. A single body that dies to pings needs a big upside to be worth it, IMO, and occasionally being 3/1s when you manage to stick two to the board at once doesn't seem like enough to me. Plus, I don't think the deck needs 20 1-drop units if we're not running Jito - I often find myself floating mana in between dumping all my 1-drops and my Rally/Queen turn, so subbing in a few more 2-drops seems like a natural fix. Rakano Outlaw is obviously quite good, and I love getting Warcry ticks with this deck since A) more stats on the board sooner is always good, and B) bringing back buffed 1-drops with Shadowlands Guide feels like cheating, in the best possible way.
As for running 4 Sanguars... idk, I just friggin' love this card. I've lost count of the number of games I've had at Master where I go turn 1 Grenadin Drone, turn 2 two more 1-drops or a 2-drop plus a free Sanguar, and my opponent just concedes on the spot. You can also activate its cost reduction while it's in the void to bring it back with Shadowlands Guide, which feels even more like cheating than bringing back a Warcry-buffed Grenadin (and bringing back a Warcry-buffed Sanguar is absolutely disgusting ^^). It also really helps in aggro v. aggro matchups, that lifesteal can really swing a face race in your favor in no time flat. Sometimes I'll burn a Rapid Shot just to push face damage with it - stealing 8 life in an aggro race is usually game-winning. Occasionally I get punished for this build and wind up sitting on a hand of Sanguars and 3-drops, but with nearly a third of the deck consisting of 1- and 2-drop units, that's quite rare. 99% of the time I'm happy to draw a Sanguar or see one in my opening hand.
Why not to replace the strangers with ticking grenadins ?
The Strangers are definitely the weakest 1-drop in this list, and you can swap them out for Rakano Outlaws or Shogun's Scepters if you prefer (personally, I cut all the Strangers and 1 Rapid Shot for 3 Outlaws and 2 more Lurking Sanguars). But Ticking Grenadin is definitely not the card to swap in. The Strangers aren't bad, either - if you get two of them out at once, they're 3/1s for 1 which is pretty nuts.
Thanks!
I have few questions:
Is the Bandit Queen replaceable ?
Which cards I want to start with for the best hand ?
With your opening hand, 2 power and 3 1-cost units is perfect. A lot of times you'll be happy with a Torch or Rapid Shot as well. But basically, you want a hand that can play a 1-drop on turn 1 and then do something on turn 2 (That can be Instigator, Rapid Shot to kill a blocker, play more 1-drops.)
Do you have any idea how good is the deck vs echo revenge and tavord armory decks ?
But it's getting boring now... It took a lot of games... the joy of victory is satisfying for a surprisingly long time... but now it's kind of tedious.
What needs to happen is that more people must play this deck on ladder. It needs to be EVERYWHERE, like a scourge of zombie locusts. Consuming all in its path, forcing that greed to choke on its own 6 power vomit. Then the meta can evolve and I won't be forced to play this deck on ladder anymore.
How can we work to make my dream a reality?
