A fun deck I've been working on trying to take advantage of all the different face damage spells available to monored. This deck is all about dealing damage to face, unless the opponent has a lifesteal unit you want to direct everything at the opponent. This deck does have quite a number of weaknesses that prevent it from being anywhere near vaible for ladder, but I've found it to be quite effective against almost all AI opponents.
EDIT: After working on this deck for a little bit I have found it to be fairly consistent in casual and very good against certain decks. Due to the prevalence of
Unseen Commando,
Whirling Duo,
Bloodletter/
Lethrai Falchion and
Sabotage on the ladder currently, I would advise against playing it above gold rank.
This deck does a few things really well, it stalls out larger creature based decks and forces the opponent to use their removal in a wasteful manner. The whole deck is based around racing to the bottom and trying to figure out the fastest way to get lethal. To accomplish this you need to observe what deck you're playing against and what cards will potentially be problems in the future. It also requires you knowing how well you'll be able to topdeck lethal as the game starts closing out. Sacrificing 3 1/1's to push that extra point of damage can be the right call if the opponent is sitting at 3/4 health and you know there are still 4
Kaleb's Favor and 4
Piercing Shot left in your deck.
This deck is also very good at tripping your opponents up. People very rarely play around something like
Piercing Shot or
Grenade and will often take blocks on grenadins leaving you opportunities to take advantage of a weakened
Argenport Instigator or take card of a pesky relic weapon.
Another bonus to this deck is a lot of the cards are commons/uncommon meaning most people will have them in their collection already. I wouldn't recommend crafting any
Purge the Darkness but they're fairly easy to find rare drafting. However, if you don't have them I think putting in
Censari Brigand or
Burn Out could help push that additional few points of damage needed to win games.
This isn't the strongest deck in the world but I find it as a really good way to unwind and grind some bronze chests in Casual. Thank you for taking the time to look at and read this!
