I wasn't too interested in playing the current meta decks, so here's what I built instead.
Game plan is basically:
- ramp in early game and play removal to avoid dying
- grab
Worldpyre to start cheating out your big threats
- meme your way to victory with
Replication Cell
To succeed, know the matchups so you can get the most value out of your removal,
Dazzles, and
Transposes. Mulligan aggressively to make sure you have early plays.
Influence fixing:
- the deck needs 4 Justice, and 2 each of Primal and Time, so usually Trailmaker will gain Justice. However, if you're missing influence in Primal or Time, don't hesitate to get it.
- running
Expand the Reach instead of
Enter the Monastery because I found it hard to fit enough
Justice Sigil in the list to really take advantage of
Enter the Monastery, plus we do sometimes want to fix Primal or Time, plus the option to plunder extra power late game is valuable.
What to replicate:
-
Svetya, Lightbringer is almost always the preferred option. An aegis 5/5 that locks out enemy units every turn is pretty much unbeatable.
-
Diana, Faith's Shield is another good option if you can't find a Svetya. A flier that can grow huge and an extra card draw every turn is a ton of value.
-
The Queen of Glass is sometimes your only option if you manage to fill out a
The Speaking Circle, since your other units cannot be sacrificed. But hey, this is a good option at least.
-
Moonstone Vanguard is acceptable as well, but usually better to wait a couple turns to see if you can draw a better target.
-
Onoris Roa is an option if you can't find anything better. You can easily gain 10+ life each turn, and get a decent unit.
Update: this deck just got me to masters, and it was overall a very fun climb. In high diamond I faced more midrange and control matchups, which this is pretty good against. Fast aggro decks are hard.
