A Control deck that plays a several 1-of relics that are situationally useful and relies on
Display of Knowledge to tutor for them when needed. Having 4 of those and 4 copies of
Display of Vision gives the deck a lot of flexibility, and DoV allows you to ramp early and in the lategame it's a Fast way to trigger Empower and potentially give you face-Aegis with
Cobalt Waystone.
I tried running
Temporal Distortion too, but
Martyr's Chains is better at finishing the game.
A few things that aren't optimal and should probably be changed:
* the manabase: having 18 crests and 7 waystones means that most power in the deck is depleted, which means the curve is delayed by one turn; influence requirements are also quite heavy (TTTJJJJPPPPSSS for everything, but the deck functions on TJJPPS when you aren't looking for finishers)
* the Merchant-Market setup: having 8 merchants is nice, but not that useful since there's no must-have card in the market and all cards there are reactive (with the exception of
Brilliant Idea, which works as a follow-up finisher once we have an Empower-relic in play, so it's "reactive" to your own plays)
* some relics in the deck (
Auric Runehammer,
Eternity Core,
Citywide Ban) are rarely tutored for
*
Channel the Tempest is a card I loved before the nerf, and I want to have it in the deck, but I very rarely find myself playing it
I've had a suprisingly decent winrate with this deck in low-Gold (7W 7L, with 1-1 being turn1 concessions).
