Hey all!
At the beginning of February, I wanted to try making a new deck. It's not exactly the most revolutionary deck idea, but I wanted to show off the power of Gunslingers and see if I could hit Masters with it (all the way from Silver I, if I might add). It took about a week, but I got there and it's my first time getting to masters!!
The main things to note:
Unseen Commando
Unseen Commando works with most of this deck, and I think he is also a large reason as to why this deck is as strong as it is. The only ones that don't work with him are
Oni Ronin,
Steady Marshal and
Bandit Queen (After the first turn she's out, that is). For
Oni Ronin, slapping on a
Shogun's Scepter or getting the effect from Bandit Queen will give him that second battle skill. SteadyMarshal is also one of the best targets of
Shogun's Scepter, and so incidentally,
Bandit Queen coming out often gets him a 2nd battle skill as well.
Bandit Queen,
Vicious Highwayman,
Whirling Duo
That's 12 chargers in this deck that all get buffed by warcry, weapons,
Unseen Commando, and
Finest Hour. Those 12 chargers, along with
Torch make it
really easy to close out games fast, even after you get
Harsh Ruleed.
Deepforged Plate
It's an odd one that I slapped in to experiment with it, and it's proved to really help close out games. The battle skills are great to get anybody who was silenced or doesn't have 2 battle skills buffed by
Unseen Commando and gets through the 20 million Grenadins that seemingly flood the board. This deck often just likes to go wide, but this card helps it go big.
Final Note:
The big part of this deck, along with most aggro decks, is pacing yourselves while ensuring that you are applying enough pressure to force the opponents into uncomfortable situations. So often, you can force a Harsh Rule out with only two things on board, whether they be big because of warcry or are just applying too much damage too quickly. On top of that, the huge numbers of units with charge in this deck help bring out a lot of burst, so always keep that in mind.
