During the Revelations season, I was hoping to get a cool legendary like
Supply Lines or
Davia, Azurebreaker, instead I got 3 copies of
Kanya, Ironthorn Envoy (and bought the fourth one on a theme deck). Here's a "xenan heroes" deck where I use them.
How to play
This is a tempo deck, although not of the flashy kind, more like: slowly out value-ing the opponent with two-for-ones and raw value.
Your objective is to gnaw away at your opponent's cards while building up pressure and keep them as the beatdown as much as you can.
Tips
-Your main ways of removal are
Saloon Massacre and
Vara's Authority. Ideally you can kill 2 or 3 enemy units in one go, otherwise don't waste them.
-Also preferably; you keep at least 1 copy of
Victimless Crime and pray the opponent doesn't play a 5+ toughness hero. If you're really desperate, you can play 2 board wipes but that's far from ideal. (Remember to play
Vara's Authority BEFORE
Saloon Massacre or you'll need 9 power to do it.)
-Think of a 5-cost stealth unit of the xenan faction. Yeah, your opponent is very likely to guess you played
Azindel, Mastermind, so I don't advise you play it as a 5-drop, instead wait until they're starved of removal. (All your other units are great removal bait.)
-
Zido, Cabal Housecat and
Eavesdrop discard cards of the opponent's choice, so they're more effective the least cards the opponent has. (Although it is perfectly fine to play Zido early to buff
Sindain's Bracers.)
-I often forget about
Kanya, Ironthorn Envoy's activated ability. Don't make that mistake.
