Information

I have spent more time editing this deck than any other deck I've ever played. I think that I've finally tweaked it to a point where I like it, but I still can't decide between Tocas and Ayan, they both are really good cards and I don't know which one is better. It probably is Tocas, but mainly because of the rare game where hitting double shadow on turn three can be an issue. This deck is broken, it was broken before we started testing spiritweaver and it got so much better after that. I've also tested curtain calls banishes and SAAs, they all work really well, but at the end of the day this is the style that I like playing the best, just jamming down big minions as fast as possible and not worrying that much about what the AI is doing. This plays a lot like mono T and just edges it out a bit bc Vara and Twinned are so freaking good. The AI uses premium removal on both halves of twinned which really clears a path for your five drops.

RumblerX Eternal Version: 20.11.06
I've used both Tocas and Ayan in the past and in gauntlet I firmly believe Tocas gets the nod. He's pivotal against the Rakano pump decks and is out of range of the dreaded Sword of Icaria on curve and keeps you on even power with Praxis. All in all an excellent card. Not to say Ayan doesn't have his moments, but he's a much better card vs. actual players.

I agree, I think that's right, I am currently playing Ayan just because in gauntlet the difference is very marginal and Ayan has some REALLY fun turns against the AI. I ended up changing the list to Tocas, because it's the better card.

Adding Tehl+1948 is not working. Is that your correct handle? Mine is htraos+2376

Hey sorry, I have no idea where I got that number I fixed it and I'm adding you now

If getting to that SS influence is sometimes rough, you could swap out some combination of Initiate of the Sands and Devotee of the Sands for some Trail Maker. A combination of Tocas and Ayan might be preferred.
psly4mne Eternal Version: 20.11.06
We played with Trailer Maker for a while, but the 2/1 body is just so bad compared to Devotee. The influence is already consistent enough that the tradeoff isn't worth it.

I think Tocas is uncuttable. The anti-spell effect is just so good. You might not notice it's happening if you don't know what to look for, but it saves you in many games. It causes the AI to make bad combat decisions relying on combat tricks, and it also shuts down Combust from some decks. More importantly, it gets your snowballing 5 drops out a turn faster, which is usually before Ayan would be active.

You could try Ayans over Vara or something. It is a good card for sure.

"It causes the AI to make bad combat decisions relying on combat tricks"

This. This I can get behind. Yep. I get it now.

If you've never played with Ayan, try it out. It's really good, but like I said Tocas is probably better, I'll post the best list
Shoogoo Eternal Version: 20.12.23
Which Ayan? The legendary or the rare? Thank you.
