Introduction
When I was a little girl I was never particularly taken with dinosaurs. They might have been of immense size and strength in their day, but practically they were just lifeless statues placed within a big building a didn't really want to be in in the first place. All this to say that when I came to Eternal, it wasn't the big dinosaurs that excited me, but
Pteriax Hatchling and
Nesting Avisaur. Cards that when combined with
Crown of Possibilities, opened up a slow yet seemingly endlessly entertaining stream of gameplay.
As we got more exciting dinosaurs to add to the mix (and eventually Crown lost its ability to give out echo) the Elysian dino decks I built took on a different character. This deck is the sharply refined endpoint on that continuum.
The Deck
The core of this deck is Evelina, but she is certainly not the only way this deck closes out games, as evidenced by the fact that there are only 4 copies of her and no ways to tutor for them if you don't draw them naturally. Because of this, the Explorers that
are present are ones that have high value of their own.
In Elysian there are not that many high quality removal spells, so this deck uses a high volume of dinosaurs receiving killer to make up for that. Using
Twilight Hunt and later
Clutchmate allows you to bulk the stats of your dinos and remove the AIs biggest threats.
Fun Interactions
-
Evelina, Valley Searcher +
Kimi, Expedition Guide. Every time Kimi attacks, all the dinos in your hand get buffed.
- The subgame of this deck is getting
Ila & Mizo to a 12/12 with Killer.
