Greetings,
I love me some 3-colored Icaria decks. Here's one based on the creation faction. I've mainly tested it in casual, but it's done really well in gauntlet for a reason I will get to shortly. A few noteworthy remarks:
- Our old pal
Icaria, the Liberator is (of course) the deck's namesake. One fun thing to do is to use
Evacuation Plan on her (plus whatever creatures you want that are in play) to create an absolutely nasty monster. You think Icaria is bad with all of her abilities? That's nothing compared to what evacuation plan can create. Doing this will pretty much always seal the game. Speaking of evacuation plan...
- Evacuation plan can also target cards so that you can use their summon abilities again. I often target
Auralian Merchant to pull market cards and/or
Patrice, Your New Home to recruit another unit.
-
General Fiera is a really good gauntlet grinding card b/c the gauntlet's AI doesn't seem to take her ability into account when attacking and blocking. It will always attack into aegis units and try to block them when the General is in play. That's the main reason I have
Teryius, Martial Master and
Crownwatch Paladin in the deck....plus their abilities work well with the rest of the deck. I've won several gauntlet matches I would have otherwise lost b/c of having the General in play. This also makes
Sword of Unity one of the first cards I usually pull from the market.
-
Dran the Farmer could be exchanged for a cheaper ramp card, like
Devotee of the Sands. I just happened to have 4 copies and like the card.
- You could probably either exchange
Display of Creation and
Lystia's Choice for something else, or adjust it to have 4 of one and 0 of the other. I think Lystia's choice is a better fit for the deck b/c of its 3rd ability to give a unit aegis, but display's 2nd ability saved me from losing a few games (and its first ability can help if you're short on power). For now, 2 of each has worked for me.
Anyways, that's pretty much it. Enjoy and have fun!
